Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 70" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV UN70TU700DFXZA forExcellent Viewing Experience
We purchased this television in order to upgrade from a 65 inch to a 75 inch. We moved our smaller TV to another recreation room. This is now our main display TV in the living room of our home. It has very nice sound quality. No sound bar is necessary. The viewing experience is top notch. The TV is capable of displaying the smallest of details in movies and shows. I really enjoy it most for sports. It is basketball season now but I cannot wait until the NFL season starts. The image is adjustable for games, movies and sports. You can alter the level of contrast, tint, aspect ratio and other variables to you liking. Overall it is five stars. I attached it to my wall by myself but I would recommend two people do it for safety reasons.
Very disappointed!!
TV quit working haven't had it two years yet! This is the second time it's quit working. The first time after two or three days, it finally started back, showing a picture . Now the second time around, it's quit working and have spent countless hours, unplugging and plugging and troubleshooting but this time it's not coming back on or working!! do not buy!!!
Nice features, dark picture.
This Is a pretty good tv. At times the picture seems a bit dark even with the brightness all the way up. There are so many advanced adjustments available for the picture I have no idea where to start. Samsung. Please start to make the optimal picture settings available online. I should not have to pay an expert to calibrate my picture or buy a setup DVD. You guys have to know how to best adjust the picture and so I should be able to find all of those settings on your website.

Stay away from tu 7000
This is one piece of junk, second time around. Television works for two years and then blank screen and main panel needs to be replaced but cost more then the tv itself. Samsung got me twice in the last 4 years, enough already. Be smart and stay away from this model or better yet stay away from Samsung"…….LG looking really good. One year warranty is a joke with this model

DOESNT WORK WITH ALL DEVICES
my first review was censored. This TV simply doesn't work, XBOX series X and Nintendo have both been a problem for months. I cant give you full details of all the troubleshooting steps I've gone through or this post won't be allowed by Samsung but it has been insane. I am now stuck with a TV that only works with one (Apple TV) of my three devices. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!
Hi Roy G, We are sorry to hear that you are having issues connecting your Samsung TU7000 TV to external devices. Please try the following tips to help connect your external devices. When connecting to external devices, please make sure you enable Input Signal Plus and Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) on your TV. Anynet+ will control external devices that are connected to your TV with HDMI. Please keep in mind you will not be able to use Anynet+ if this feature is not supported on your receiver. Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to Settings > Support > Software Update. Black screen of death.
This is my first bad Samsung TV. I've bought many Samsungs because I like the features they offer but recently I bought a 65” and this 70”, both tvs were lightly used but this on w died after 3 years. This comes as a surprise to me because this tv probably has less than 1k hours of on time. This tv is stuck at a black screen where it cycles on and off all day/ everyday unless i unplug it
Amazing hdtv worth the money
I received this hdtv as a replacement. The TV was very easy to put together out of the box. The set up for user settings was easy and the remote is very easy to use. Connecting to my home Wi-Fi was no problem. The TV is very easy to use. The sound is good I like the picture I'm amazed. The quality of video that I watch is very clear. The fact that I am watching older videos and the quality is still very clear. It is amazing. I would recommend this TV to anybody upgrading from a smaller size or may be changing from one branch to another. I have this in my bedroom, so I watch this a lot when I'm ready to go to bed or at the end of the day.
Broke after 10 days
bought this on 12/12/20 and while watching netflix the tv suddenly turned off. then it started flickering, turning on and off every 10 seconds. i couldn't do anything about it so i am simply just going to return it. the date that it broke was 12/22/20, it only took 10 days to break.
BenC: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly. Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue: 1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection. 2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable. 3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. 4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software. 5) TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off. If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement. 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST, 7 days a week Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link in the upper right corner of the homepage for: 1) Contact Us Options (LiveChat, Remote Support, Facebook, Twitter) 2) Product Support 3) Manuals and Downloads 4) Warranty Info 5) Product Registration: Registering your product gives you access to easy warranty support, convenient opt-in to special promos and offers, faster troubleshooting and service, and quick notification of system updates 6) Samsung Community: A great resource for getting help from Samsung moderators and customers and more 7) …and more product, repair, order, and care options ~ Samsung Solutions
I definitely purchased a lemon.
Purchased the tv from Sam's on Black Friday. Got the tv home, unboxed, braced on the wall with the brackets, hooked and plugged everything in. As I went to turn the tv on it wouldn't come on and there was a very large scratch on the left side of the screen; needless to say, the tv is going back to Sam's.
Not what was expected from Samsung
Having had previously ordered several other Samsung TV's. this model in particular did not deliver what we had expected. I'll list the issues numerically: 1) The Smart HUB feature does not allow you to delete Pre Installed apps nor can you move or rearrange them. 2) We are subscribed to YouTube TV but when powered on the Samsung TV Plus app starts automatically even though in the set up menu the option to continue with the last app was selected thus making you scroll to the end of the apps to select the YouTube TV app. 3) The remote control lag is terrible. For this size TV I expected a smaller more sleek remote but it looks like the same remote for my 32" Samsung TV. Scrolling was taking so long and once an icon or typing was selected it was extremely delayed. 4) The internet function was beyond slow. I tried accessing a website to purchase a PPV this past weekend and I could not even enter the web address. When I finally entered the address, and purchased the PPV, the picture froze and I could not restart the TV. I turned on my old Samsung 60" tv and within seconds was able to continue watching the PPV uninterrupted. 5) Picture quality and set up was poor. The picture on on my 60" Samsung was sharp and clearer than this newer model. There are not many options or variances to set the picture. All in all I am not satisfied with this purchase and am contemplating returning the TV, saving my money and purchasing an updated model from another brand would probably be best. Samsung appears to have tried to squeeze the technology from their smaller TV's into this bigger model but the reduction in clarity and quality are quite apparent.
