This is a large chair and seems very sturdy and well made. The material is soft and the arms are well padded. The settings are basic up, down, and tilt but there is nothing for lumbar because there is no special lumbar support. This chair is good for setting back and reading but for office work it leaves a sore back due to lack of back support.

I bought this almost a month ago as my old desk chair was rickety and wore out. I switched to a office chair with no arms I had. That thing was so uncomfortable it was making me sore sitting at the deak any length of time. This La-Z-Boy chair has great back support and so comfortable I could sleep in in. I tried at Sam's before I bought. Would recomend people try one a Sam's before they buy as I am 6'2", 240, recommend sitting in it in the store before you buy. I couldn't be happier with mine.

I love my new La-Z-Boy Alston Big & Tall Executive Chair! The padding and support feels like it was made just to fit me, the adjustment controls are so easy to use, it's so comfortable I find myself falling asleep while using it. The padded armrests are so comfortable, and sturdy. I believe I will get years of dependable use out of this chair!

The chair is very comfortable. It came quickly. It was easy to assemble. Time will tell if the material lasts. I was hesitant to purchase the chair because I've had bonded leather chairs before which peeled and made a mess within a year or two. The chair itself seems well made so i hope the material lives up to my expectations of the La-Z-Boy brand.

Nice chair for the price I bough it for my husband he said is a good chair good head rest it support his neck ,is the right height for his sise.Would like to have a better lower back support , a little tight on the mid back and no adjustable arms. Rather than that is a good chair for the price .

Wheel base. Wheels would not go into base. Believe me several of us tried. Very frustrating when we need this chair to use in our office. Now it is not usable until the replacement parts come. We have 3 other chairs like this & no problem before. I called Lazy Boy & had to send pictures & receipt of purchase. Not sure how long it will take to get new parts. May just return item if parts don't show up this week.

First I'll say that any chair would have been an improvement to my old one but this chair is better than I expected. I have used it for many work hours since I received it and I am glad I chose this one. So far (only a few weeks) the padding is holding up and it seems very durable. I am not a large person, weighing 125lbs., so the padding may be different for someone else. The only complaint is that it will be little bit too tall for anyone who is on the shorter side- say 5'3" or less. It was very easy to assemble and was done in minutes. I would not hesitate to recommend this item.

Took about 20 minutes to assemble with out tools. Very comfortable and sturdy. The only reservation is that it is bonded leather rather than full grain leather. My old bonded leather chair lasted about 5 years and then about 20% of the "leather" peeled off. Bonded leather is ground up leather scraps that have been mixed with adhesives and other chemicals and vinyl or polyurethane.

Great chair. Not to take away from the purpose of the chair in the review but the ease of assembly is astounding. I have no problem assembling things but when you can put together an office chair WITHOUT using a screwdriver/allen wrench/pliers, you have succeeded in making assembly easy.

Finally found a chair that fits my tall frame, is comfortable to the point i wish I had 4 more of these, and I can actually enjoy sitting in. I literally have no cons about this chair after owning it for about a month. Out of the box this is super easy to assembly by hand without the need for tools as they say.
