[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ice maker stopped working at 7 months and freezer stopped freezing (still works as a refrigerator though). Repairman said needs new compressor that they don't have in stock yet. Still waiting a month after reporting.

We have only had this for a couple of years and the other day I went to dispense water and it would not stop. We had to turn off the main water supply to the house to stop the water. We had to move the fridge to turn off the water supply to the fridge. The problem turned out to be a rusted screw that held the switch/lever on the on position. It rusted the screw due to moisture from the ice dispenser chute slowly running down onto the screw that held the switch lever in place. This is a bad design that could have simply been prevented using a stainless-steel screw that would not rust.

I had been looking and just found nothing that I liked as well when we bought another house. I love the 2 freezer drawer! It stores so much in a manner that makes it easy to find what you have in it. I’m the only one in the family that uses the ice maker so even though it is smaller (which others complain about) it has more than enough even if there were others in the household using it. My only problem with this one is that I can’t get the yucky taste out of the water. I didn’t have the issue with the first frig. I have emptied multiple gallons and emptied the ice container several times. Although it isn’t as bad now as it was a month ago it still has a mildly yucky taste.

We had bought one of these for out old house mostly due to the looks of it. When we moved into our new house almost 3 years ago, we wanted one just like the one we had. We love our refrigerator for many reasons. The look is one, the icemaker that actually works and doesn't get ice stuck hardly at all and the two drawers that we can select different items for the freezer part. The refrigerator holds so many things and keeps our produce fresh for many days.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a huge upgrade in size for us, almost didn't fit in our fridge cubby, and we love it. Only a couple complaints. Freezer space has unused space due to the dual drawers, but then that makes for excellent freezer airflow (freezes fast). Wish I didn't have to open both doors to access the crisper drawers. Wish doors didn't have to be closed for the ice/water dispenser to function. That all said, the space, access, lighting, filtering, ease of use, ease of cleaning, layout, and silent running all make up for it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my side by side counter depth refrigerator with this wonderful stainless model. So roomy..Love the two freezer drawers. So handy to have items I need often right there without exposing the whole freezer. The drawers in the refrigeration unit are perfect and easily accessible. Plus - now I don't dread holidays because I have room for big items, trays, turkeys, or hams!! And....it really doesn't show fingerprints and it is quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a problem to begin with. I think the refrigerator is wider in the middle than at the top or bottom. I had to do a lot of sanding to make it fit. I'm still not sure it is level, or how to level it. I love the French doors and the two drawer freezer. I love the water and ice dispenser.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this 4-door refrigerator to replace our previous, similar 4-door LG model, which just stopped cooling one day after 11 years of faithful service. We didn't even consider trying to repair the older model because it was more than 10 years old. This model has a couple of new features, but the main difference is that it is some 3 cu. ft. larger, the impact of which we didn't fully realize until it was put in place. If you're considering purchasing this model, note that the fridge is a full 2" deeper, and protrudes into the kitchen space by that much more. This would be an important consideration in a smaller kitchen, but for us, it mainly makes the cupboard space above more difficult to access and the fridge itself a bit more "noticeable" when you enter the kitchen. There are only two of us, so we didn't really need the extra capacity, but we really liked the convenience of having two freezer drawers, which were only available on this model & nicely designed. (This is not a criticism of the appliance, per se, just something to be aware of that isn't truly evident until it is actually installed.) Three design changes that mostly impact convenience are: 1) The in-door water/ice dispenser is not as convenient. The old model had dedicated "buttons" or switches for water and ice, plus an extra "button" to dispense just water, say into a pitcher or coffee pot. On this new model, one has to "select" the water or ice "button" before pushing against the dispenser switch plate, no more separate "water button." 2) Also, the height of the dispenser space in the door is now shorter, to accommodate a redesigned ice bin behind it. We used to be able to place a fairly tall pitcher in the door "dispenser shelf" & just push a separate button to dispense water. Taller receptacles no longer fit & now you have to press against the back switch plate to dispense both water and ice. 3) The water filter is smaller & is a bit more complicated to change, and has less capacity, only filtering 200 gallons before needing replacement (the older model could filter 600 gallons before replacing), even though both filters are "rated" for six months & cost about the same. These are three unfortunate design changes that make things a bit less convenient. So far, the refrigerator itself has performed well and we have no criticisms in that regard. The ice bin in the door is easier to access, but seems to have smaller capacity. There are more "door shelves" that are really nice, especially on the left door, but they eliminated the "butter storage" compartment on the right door. Vegetable & fruit drawer space is very generous & quite adequate, temperature controls for storage bins are more convenient, the deli tray is a nice touch & slides very smoothly, and adjustment of the interior shelves is fairly easy & pretty much the same as the older model. This model does have wi-fi capacity, but we have not activated it and probably won't until we find a compelling reason for wanting to communicate with our refrigerator. Overall, we do like this refrigerator, although we might have considered a smaller capacity one had we realized just how big 28 cu. ft is!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our new LG French Door refrigerator! However, we are a little dismayed to find out the 'Smart' function doesn't operate on a 5ghz wifi system, only 2.4. We don't have the option to switch to 2.4ghz, so we can't access the smart functions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I definitely am enjoying my new LG refrigerator! It’s design is so open! I can see everything, nothing gets lost in the back and therefore spoils. I especially like the dual drawers for the freezer! This too keeps things from getting buried out of sight and ruined. Thanks LG!
