Everything works great in the first month, but I bought a warranty due to past reviews that said the linear compressor fails within 1 to 3 years. Hopefully LG made modifications to prevent the compressor failure.

Excellent interior fridge layout and space

We're loving our new LG French door fridge so far - the interior space and layout is excellent, but the freezer section is a bit smaller than what we had previously. The water and ice dispenser is working great with good flow. The instructions for connecting the water supply were not as straight forward as they could be - better labesls on the fridge iteself would have been helpful and it was difficult to find a video corresponding to our model #. Once we purchased an adapter kit we were good to go.

Great Fridge; insufficient ice

We really like our fridge and it is HUGE. If you have a large family or regularly fill your fridge up, this is the one for you. The one drawback we have is the ice maker. Yes, it is a slim design, which allows for so much of the extra room....but the ice output is not sufficient for a large family. There are six of us and we have run out of ice a few times already. Even though the specs say it can create over 100 cubes/day, the cubes are very small and melt quickly. We bought a counter top ice machine and store ice in the provided ice tray in the top freezer drawer.

Frig great if completely assembled, handles secure

I like the refrigerator. Shelves are deep. There is lots of storage. The only ice maker is in the door, so this is limiting. I somehow thought the container for ice in the top freezer door provided separate ice capacity. My complaint.... the top freezer door handle was not installed properly. The first time the handle was pulled, it came loose and the edge gouged the front of the refrigerator. I have been in touch with LG... but this was reported to Sam’s Club in less than 24 hours. There has not been resolution. Beware of delivery services. Frustrating ....

Great fridge but arrived defective on July 24.

The tech that delivered it spent an hour trying to fix the problem. He was in touch with Sam's tech, whom I talked with. He gave me 3 options and we chose to keep the fridge and wait for a replacement. I am still waiting. I need to know if it was ordered and when it will be delivered. I am not a happy customer right now.

Don’t do it! Compressors go out

I love this refrigerator and I paid closer to the retail price listed of $3500. Just two months outside the manufacturer warranty the linear compressor went out and it cost me $1200 to get it fixed. Another year later, some kind of fan in the freezer area went out. I deeply love the design of this fridge, but if I could go back and pick another refrigerator, I would. After the compressor going out, I just crossed my fingers daily, hoping that the replacement stays good. I also bought a matching LG stove that has been a complete hunk of junk and if I could go back and buy either of these again, I would my LG washer has been great

Bad experience

I purchased this refrigerator, and unfortunately it has caused me significant trouble. After about a year and a half, it stopped working. It then took the company nearly a full year to follow up with a technician and complete the repair, which was a very frustrating experience. After it was finally repaired, the refrigerator broke down again within another year. Each time, the issue has been with the compressor. This makes the unit impractical and very costly to maintain. I own other refrigerators in the same house and have not experienced any issues like this with them. Although the refrigerator is still under warranty, I am reluctant to contact the company again. I was informed by the technician that the repair would cost around $950, which I would have to pay, while the company only covers the replacement parts.
