Temp display is not actual temp in unit- only "Target Setting". You need thermometer to verify for frig and freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our old side-by-side fridge with this new French Door LG. It is a beautiful unit; several guests have commented on how nice it looks. Also, the quality of the lighting, shelving, hinges, drawer slides, etc. are all excellent - fit and finish are good, materials are luxe. The design of the ice maker is hugely improved over the older styles. This is a very spacious fridge. It fits perfectly in a slot made for a 36" wide unit, note that it is full depth as well. So far, after a month, we LOVE this refridgerator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought 5 years ago. Problems with left side refrigerator door not closing properly due to top plastic piece at top not catching. Problem continues even after replacement. Compressor failed at 5 years. Took 1 week for repair completion. Lost food expensive. Hope replacement compressor isn’t defective like the ones from class action lawsuit.

We bought this two weeks ago, and am very disappointed with lg. We paid a lot of money for this very nice refrigerator that has some cosmetic damage on the ice dispenser plate. They say we are just stuck with it!!! What a stinken company to do business with. I do not recommend them,and never will because they do not make their customers happy! I didn't damage the refrigerator. Terrible customer service.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fridge has a vibration that won't go away, it can be loud enough to hear from another room. Had service come out and adjust/align the doors but its still vibrating. Now we are seeing that the freezer is not cold enough - moved the ice cream to the bottom drawer, in back, per the Tech's instructions - still soft, not good!

Making ice is NOT a forte of this refrig. There is no way to easily access ice without dispensing it with great noise and variable stopping. The doors and drawers, especially, vary in how they close or stay open. one doesn't close by itself, another closes forcefully. Is it at all possible to regulate each???? The design of the interior drawers makes it difficult to tell which, top or bottom is what you grasp to open the drawer. Terrible design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the whole set for our new kitchen in July. Love the black stainless steel. Looks real sharp and does not show the finger prints. For some reason the middle and bottom freezer does not keep our ice cream frozen. Was set to -6 degrees. No ice build up and 7was not overloaded, technician checked the temp which was 19 degrees. Does not make sense. Icemaker quit in November just had it replaced in the beginning of February. Keeping our fingers crossed. The jury is still out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a power surge burned our old fridge, we got this one from the blue and yellow store. Quality is a lot better than our old kenmore and even when they were about the same cu-ft, the LG seems to fit a lot more food. My kids love the top freezer drawer since we keep ice cream bars and cones there. The one thing that took some time to get used to is the weight of the left side door. That's where the ice maker and water dispenser are and is quite heavy. You need to hold it otherwise it slams and I'm afraid with time is going to damage it. Overall happy with the fridge. Family of four here with 2 boys that eat like there's no tomorrow. Loving the LG brand. Got a 4K TV and is quite impressive. Slowly going to keep buying their products if they keep up the quality/price range.

We've had 3 ice makers, a replacement refrigerator and now a dead compressor, all in 4 years. The fact that these are warranty covered problems does not compensate for being without a working product for 9 days over Thanksgiving!!
