I really like the refrigerator however it was extremely, extremely difficult to get through a regular door size. They had to take the doors off, and I had to take the door off the hinges in the house. Also, the icemaker leaves a little bit to be desired. And my one big ripe is the fact that they don’t have a small river removable shelf that goes on the outside of the refrigerator door when getting ice or water. It splashes down and it goes onto the other two freezer drawers. But yes, I do like it.

Mostly Love It!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 2011 model "died". We replaced it with what we were told was a fridge with the same dimensions. Apparently not! It sticks out in the room about 3 inches farther than the old one which we are learning to live with, but not exactly what we wanted. Also miss the enclosed dairy area in the right door. Otherwise are happy with the rest, especially the sliding drawer configuration. A main reason for choosing this fridge is the location of the icemaker in the door, not the fridge although the size of the cubes is a bit small. Also love the two drawer freezer.

Nice fridge but it has issues

Within 3 hours of fridge installation, it displayed an error which caused the refrigerator to shut down. The error resulted in a cooling fault because the compressor fan was not working. It turned out the fan cable was not connected which was possible a factor issue. The cable has a key lock so it seems unlikely it would come unplugged during shipping. We were able to work around the issue by power-cycling the fridge every time this error occurred - about every 3 or 4 hours. The issue has since been resolved by a service technician. There is a second issue that the water from the dispenser has a plastic/metallic taste. The cable connecting the fridge to the water line has been replaced and this has helped, but the water taste is still substandard (not like our old fridge of 14 years). We are still trying to resolve this issue. Other than that the fridge is very nice. It appears to be very well designed.

Nice fridge at a good price but a couple of gaps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been living with the fridge for about 2 months. It looks great and works well overall. For the price, I still think it was a great deal, but here are things I would have the product development people at LG think about: 1) The full width drawer is super annoying. To have to open both doors to get out a slice of cheese or whatever makes no sense. 2) There is no enclosed butter section on the doors, and the top door shelf is annoyingly high for the shorter members in my family due to the deep lip. 3) The water that comes out of the front door dispenser is really warm, you absolutely have to add ice. 4) The sides of the fridge are bowed out in the middle, so if you have a tight cabinet space you might be in trouble. There is a good 1/2" difference in width between the top or bottom and the middle, specifically worse toward the back of the fridge. I almost couldn't get in in. 5) Ice machine capacity is limited and if you are constantly filling water jugs like our active family you will quickly run out. 6) Height adjustment of all shelves, interior and door, are way too limited, and a milk jug fits fine but a standard bottle of wine with a stopper does not. 7) Also, if you care about the wifi connection, it's only 2.4GHz, annoying with my modern mesh routers.

We are not happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I truly hate to give a bad review. We have only had this fridge right at 3 years and it quit cooling. I am very thankful for the 5 year warranty from LG but we are still waiting on repairs took a week for A&E to come out and tell us he had to order 5 parts week later on 2 parts have come in so far waiting on remaining parts. Now two weeks with no fridge and food that ruined is not a good thing. We thought we would love this refrigerator. I am sorry to write a bad review. But this has been a bad experience with still a broken fridge.
