Great Refrigerator by LG!

I had to remove a cabinet above the refrigerator to make it fit and am so glad I did! The amount of room I have with this model is amazing and I love the 2 freezer compartments.

Mostly fine, but feels downgraded from older model
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently replaced my 15-year-old LG fridge with this model, which feels very similar overall. However, I noticed more components are made of plastic, so I’m unsure if it will last as long. One improvement I do love is the additional freezer drawer—it makes food more accessible and easier to organize. Unfortunately, the bottom drawer lacks a light, which is a disappointing oversight. The ice maker, however, is a downgrade. The ice frequently gets stuck and has to be manually broken apart, which wasn’t an issue with my old fridge. I find this most annoying of all, since it needs to be dealt with every couple of days. Another inconvenience is the single dispenser button—you have to select either ice or water before use, unlike my previous model, which had separate buttons for each. The old fridge also featured an extra water button on the exterior, making it easy to fill larger containers, and I really miss that feature. Overall, it seems like a decent refrigerator so far (after one month), but it has some frustrating design flaws compared to my previous model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like that it's to organize my frozen items with the two drawers. No more digging through items to find what I'm after. I also like the wide glide and serve drawer, holds wine bottles and cheeses, etc, and everything is easily seen.

STOPPED COOLING IN LESS THAN 18 MONTHS
This refigerator is a very beautiful but HIGHLY OVERPRICED SCRAP IRON. It stopped working after less than two years and I am told now needs a new compressor, but now, reading the widespread news and class action details, it is a total waste of money, DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK1

A "Walk-Off Home Run"
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife loves it, during the Holidays more than ample space for sausage making and storage to my surprise....if I may make one suggestion it would be with the Control Panel, at night it is difficult to see "Cube/Water/Crushed" area without the kitchen lights being on.If they were to light up, my NEW title would be "Bases Loaded/Grand Slam Home Run"....Y'all take care.
Beautiful refrigerator!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this refrigerator. It is so nice to have one that runs ALL the timeAND always makes ice. The fact it actually makes the ice ON the door is amazing! Our house is only 6 years old and from the time we walked in the door, it was broken, for one reason or another! The color is black stainless. We have already decided to replace our other appliances with LG in the same color. If they work like this new fridge, we would be stupid not too!
LG Authorized Service not available timely
We bought this refrigerator 2-1/2 years ago which was installed in new construction. The compressor failed. Replacement under warranty required inspection by an LG technician. The soonest available for us in South Carolina was 7-10 days. Then 3-5 days to get the part and schedule another visit to install. Unacceptable! I paid another contractor who was here in 2 hours, got the replacement compressor the next day and installed it. Now LG won't reimburse me for the cost of the compressor which had a 10 year warranty. Also unacceptable! There is no flexibility in their warranty program. All this happened in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic which has us house bound. When I tried to go up the corporate chain to speak to someone "higher up", I was told I could not. A low level person in Executive Services was as far as I could get. There was no one higher. I will attempt to reach someone else in the Consumer Affairs department, but I don't hold out much hope.

It is a lemon.
We bought the full LG line up for our new house, and this fridge has been the lemon of the group. There have been multiple repairs, even more failures, and lots of spoiled food. Even when it did work well, we would still need to buy bags of ice because the ice maker could not keep up with our family of four. It did not make it three years. We are very disappointed with it.

Compressor died after 2 years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful fridge but that’s about all it has going for it. The compressor died after 2 years. LG replaced it with the same kind of compressor so my expectation is that I will have to purchase another fridge in about 2 years. The water dispenser drips water. The ice maker causes ice to buildup around the seal of the ice maker door also causing water to leak out. This thing is a disaster. I hate it. Do not buy.
