Love the space configuration!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator with the hope it would be easier to navigate when trying to find something inside of it than our old refrigerator. We have been SO happy with this fridge! The adjustable shelf on the right allows us to place tall beverage bottles with ease. The large deli bin holds so much - tubs of cream cheese, lunch meat, shredded cheese pkgs., etc. I also like the inside ice maker; its barely noticeable and takes up minimum space inside the fridge. There is an ice tray holder in the first freezer compartment, so we just empty the ice bin and replace. For a rather small ice making unit, It makes ice pretty fast so we always have ice around. I like the two tier freezer compartments. We store often used frozen items on top (ice cream, etc) and put meats, pizzas etc. in the lower drawer. I can't say enough good about this refrigerator. Love the finish on the outside; fingerprints and smudges wipe off easity. Also like the tall water/ice dispenser - its easy to fill the tall beverage containers. The inside side shelves hold more than I thought they would - love the configuration. I guess the only thing I would improve on is to add a removable tray under the water/ice dispenser, as water drips leave spots on the shelf that also sometimes drip down the front. Minor inconvenience for all the plus features of this fridge. Its a great refirgerator and I would not hesitate to recommend it. Really glad we chose it.

Gorgeous with flaws

I've had this fridge for about 2 weeks now. It's a beautiful refrigerator but there are a few things I dislike. First off is the door on the right side. You can't just push the door closed and go on your way. It will stop about 6 inches before it closes completely. You have to actually give it an addition push to make sure it closes completely. At first I thought it was just my fridge but I went to three different stores to compare and they all do the same exact thing. You can push and let of the left door and it will go to the full closed position but that right door will not. If you push that right door without making sure it's fully closed and then leave the kitchen, the fridge will be open the entire time. There is a door alarm but by the time it alerts you, you could have left the area or the house. It's definitely a design flaw. I feel it has something to do with the position of the rubber seal on the right side which prevents it from smoothly going through the full closing motion. The other issue I have is with the ice maker. It's very slow making ice and the capacity is very limited since it's a slim design. So if you plan to have guest over and more than 4 people need some ice, you better make some ice in advance and store it in the freezer. The last gripe I have is with the water filter. I have dispensed at least 8 gallons of water to try to get rid of that chemical charcoal taste. It will be fine right after doing a bulk water dump but if I come back an hour later for water, the water taste horrible once again. My tap water actually taste better. It almost taste as if it could be toxic. It was not like that with my previous refrigerator. The ice also taste awful. Overall it's a gorgeous fridge and the storage is well thought out but those few gripes I have is really making me question my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very glad that I purchased my LG refrigerator; the reasons that I did not give it an excellent rating is because the bottom drawer does not have a light and it’s difficult to see in the second bottom drawer! There is no special place for my eggs once purchase from the store; so I leave them in the store bought tray. Other than those two things I love my new refrigerator! The design is sleek and beautiful; and so glad that it is smudge proof! Great space inside the refrigerator and I love the fact that I am able to drink the water because of the purifier. I truly am enjoying my LG refrigerator and can’t wait to receive my LG stove in March 1921! Yes Iwould recommend it highly to anyone!

Happy Suggestions.

we bought a french door refrigerator approximately two months ago. we are happy with it, but we do have suggestions: 1> the ice/water dispenser should have a funnel/cover to prevent ice from dropping on the floor. 2> the ice/water dispenser should have something to catch any ice particles that fall inside the ice/water dispenser. 3> both doors should be self closing. 4> both doors should be slow close: they should not slam. 5> the bolts that fasten the doors to refrigerator body should be covered to give the interior a more finished appearance.

Great Fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fridge is great - the separate drawers for freezer compartment make it easier to find items. Only issue is the black stainless is easy to scratch/chip. Would probably choose regular stainless next time.

LAST LESS THAN 4 YEARS - CAN'T GET SERVICE SET UP

2016 version of this model: This refrigerator stopped working less than 4 years after purchase. Calls to LG Service Center (SC) over the course of 4 days has accomplished nothing. First call-told we would get a call from an Authorized Service Provider (ASP) within 24 hrs. Called back after 24 hrs, but SC had just closed. Called the following morning. Asked if I was sure I hadn't missed a call, text or VM. No, had not. Told a report would be sent to appropriate department and we would receive a call by the end of the day. Told her I would call back before closing if I had not heard anything. Called back. I got the same canned responses about their process. When I pointed out that almost 48 hrs had already passed and it was not reasonable to ask me to blindly wait for a call that was unlikely to come the rep put me on hold. Came back to say there was some sort of dispatch problem with the ASP. He would cancel the original service request, start a new service request with a different provider, we would hear from Auth Svc Provider within 24-48 hrs, but be aware they were 7 days out scheduling. 48 hrs later, nothing. Called again. Told we will have to wait for the call. Asked to speak to a supervisor in order to escalate this. Put on hold. Hold music stopped after 10 min. Call not disconnected, but not answered 40 min later. I have no faith this will be resolved any time soon, if ever.

NOT HAPPY

I bought this in July and have had to have the ice maker replaced. It's still not making ice! They have said a LG tech would reach us to set up time and day. So far we have not heard from them. Been over a week since they told me this. Makes no ice or just two drops of ice.

2 weeks old and so far so good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely, loving it! So far no problems, but its only 2 weeks old. Great if you need more refridgerator than freezer. Freezer does not hold as much as a side by side. We have an upright freezer already, so were good. So happy we got it and the ice was easy to hook-up to our old connection. But you better get the new kit! Thank god we did. Old nut split in half on our old line!
