I bought this refrigerator in 2018. It had all the bells and whistles I needed. I was very happy with the product until it required periodic maintenance. You must change the air and water filter every six months. To my suprise, I discovered that the water filters that are recommended in my owner's manual do not fit the refrigerator. I found this distressing because they're very expensive and I don't like wasting my hard earned money. Fortunately, there are several vendors who sell replacement water filters that actually fit this model and work.

I bought this about a month ago. It has the features I like and has plenty of room to place items that may be wide or tall. The doors have additional cooling and if I accidentally leave the door open I receive a notification on my phone. It also has functions to tell me when filters need to be changed.

We purchased the refrigerator in July 2018. Refrigerator left door latch design is faulty. The left door will not close properly unless you manually pull the latch out and glide the latch into the slot in the door. If you close the left door it just bangs against the refrigerator. I'm annoyed every time I close the door or hear someone else try and close the door.

It's a good fridge, but in a market filled with great fridges, I don't recommend this fridge. All the major features seem solid - it's roomy, has good controls and features, etc, but it's the small things that add key distinction from other products, and even my old Samsung fridge had all these major features while not having the limitations of the "small things" this fridge is missing. And for a fridge that costs this much, there's no reason to cut costs on the small things. Small things like these: - Lack of lighting in the crisper drawers and freezer drawers (1 has a light, 1 doesn't). My old Samsung fridge has lights in all these locations. I didn't even notice these features at the time tbh, but now using this fridge that is missing them, it's a striking reduction in quality/features. - Crisper drawers are missing grabbable handles on the top. Every fridge I've ever used in my life has grabbable handles at the top, so I'm conditioned to grab there. But this fridge has them on the bottom only. No problem with having them on the bottom, but something on the top, even small handles, just something to grab. - The right crisper drawer can't open unless the left French door is open. The vertical bar that goes down the center of the fridge that is attached to the left door blocks the right crisper drawer from opening. It's annoying and counterintuitive to have to open the left fridge door in order to open the right crisper drawer. - The left fridge door is heavy b/c of the ice maker and water dispenser, and b/c of this is slams shut very hard, jostling the contents in the storage units on the door. The closing mechanism should be adjusted to make this a smoother close. Also the right fridge door doesn't close naturally on its own if the left door is open, it just bounces back and stays open. But if the left door is closed, the right one closes, albeit a little bit too hard (not as hard as the left door by far, though). Mechanisms for both doors should be adjusted. Older fridges had no problem with this and perfected the "slow close" of fridge doors.

Freezer stopped freezing after 15 months, of course, the warranty is 12 months. Service call requested thru LG.com 800 number from website. Earliest appointment available was 6 days away. Dispatch fee: $125. If it's an issue with the compressor, it'll be $250 for labor; part would be covered.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely, loving it! So far no problems, but its only 2 weeks old. Great if you need more refridgerator than freezer. Freezer does not hold as much as a side by side. We have an upright freezer already, so were good. So happy we got it and the ice was easy to hook-up to our old connection. But you better get the new kit! Thank god we did. Old nut split in half on our old line!

Only thing i see missing is a Drip Tray to catch water , when some one has over filled glass of water. It gets all over on floor. Our previous refrigerator had drip tray which saved lots of cleaning floor.

I really love the look of this one and the smudge resistant finish is a big plus. Very easy to keep clean. Love all the features and now I just need to purchase the range to finish my look.

The Black Stainless Steel color is gorgeous and we especially love the two freezer drawers. Frozen items we use daily in the top drawer and items we use once in awhile in the bottom freezer drawer. The Ice maker is great in the refrigerator door which leaves more room in the frig. shelf area for food. The day it was installed we ran 3-4 gallons of water through the water filter and we have let the Ice Maker make 4 full containers of ice. The Ice and the filtered Water right out of the Ice and Water Dispenser is fantastic. Next, a new LG gas Range in Black Stainless Steel. Thanks LG for making a great looking and very practical 4 drawer Refrigerator!

This is the most wonderful refrigerator I have ever had. With the freezer on the bottom, the top doors open wide allowing very large things to go in. The two freezer drawers make dividing meat from other things I freeze easy. If I ever have to buy another refrigerator, I will buy this again.
