[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to purchase a refrigerator at a moments notice. Our old refrigerator died very unexpectedly. We lost most of the contents and it was New Year’s Eve! Without much time to totally research every option available, and every brand we narrowed it down to an LG or a Samsung. Both had to had water and ice in the door. We wanted the French door options with either one or two freezer drawers. What won over on the LG was the water despenser unit. I felt it had a cleaner look, and no tubing for the water hanging out able to gather mold and bacteria as in our old refrigerator and also in the Samsung models. I also like the fact that I can control the temp and ice maker from an app on my phone. I realized after I purchase this model I should have looked a little deeper as there was a model that has an extra ice maker in the freezer compartment. It would have been a bit more helpful as we use a lot of ice. However I have an ice plus feature on this model that allowed it to make ice a bit faster so that does make up for it. We shall really see this summer how well it works. The refrigerator part certainly is very spacious. I am still getting used to the freezer compartments and haven’t decided if it is actually the same space as my old side by side. So far I am not totally convinced I have more or even the same freezer space. I do like the two drawer freezer space. I find that a plus. We are satisfied at this point. It isn’t a month old yet.

Owned this fridge for just under 5 years and now it needs repairs that cost more than what I paid for it. LG was sued in a class action law suit, many linear compressor models were included, but unfortunately not this one. So out of warranty and no recourse. AVOID LG LINEAR COMPRESSOR REFRIGERATORS.

LG replaced it with the same kind of compressor so my expectation is that I will have to purchase another fridge in about 2 years. The water dispenser drips water. The ice maker causes ice to buildup around the seal of the ice maker door also causing water to leak out. This thing is a disaster. I hate it. Do not buy.

Great refrigerator with easy access and great storage.. I love the reminder chime when the door has been open too long. I also love that it shows the temperature for both refrigerator and freezer on the door when it is opened. The water dispenser has the best tasting wate r and refreshing cool. Plus it looks so sleek and modern.a

Terrible i have had nothing but trouble out of my LG refrigerator first had to replace the condenser fan then the control board and now the refrigerator won't keep refrigerator or freezer to correct temperature refrigerator is completely useless and now have to replace it. I have never had this many problems out of a refrigerator before I will never buy LG products again. Do your research people on LG products i wish I would have before I purchased you will see all of the complaints about lg refrigerators.

LG refrigerator came with so many outstanding features that out pace the other brands around. LG has provide an outstanding product and service so far and I don’t intend to change it at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge because the LG we had broke down on us for the third time for the same reason. The compressor went out. The wife loves LG so we opted to purchase this one. All in al it is a very good product. She loves the black stainless steal and no fingerprints. The wi-fi is a bonus. I love being able to keep track of food that is about to expire and knowing that at a push of a button I can know what's going on with the fridge, order new filters, and get maintenance done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have narrowed our purchase down to this fridge but I still have reservations about the ice maker, size of ice cubes, # of cubes etc. Seems awfully small storage in the door and I'm aware of the storage in the freezer compartment but that seems a bit awkward....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally upgraded my refrigerator. Love this open concept. So much easier to see items that you are looking for. Love the black stainless steel too! Can wait to upgrade the rest of kitchen appliance. The ONLY concern I have, there need to be a tray to catch overflow of ice and water. Worrying that the ice will spill to the floor and someone could slip and fall.

We bought this refrigerator 2-1/2 years ago which was installed in new construction. The compressor failed. Replacement under warranty required inspection by an LG technician. The soonest available for us in South Carolina was 7-10 days. Then 3-5 days to get the part and schedule another visit to install. Unacceptable! I paid another contractor who was here in 2 hours, got the replacement compressor the next day and installed it. Now LG won't reimburse me for the cost of the compressor which had a 10 year warranty. Also unacceptable! There is no flexibility in their warranty program. All this happened in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic which has us house bound. When I tried to go up the corporate chain to speak to someone "higher up", I was told I could not. A low level person in Executive Services was as far as I could get. There was no one higher. I will attempt to reach someone else in the Consumer Affairs department, but I don't hold out much hope.
