I will never buy another LG refrigerator, We purchased it only 4 years ago and had to have it fixed already 2 times: first time easy one for water dispenser second time the inimaginable: THE COMPRESSOR DIED!!! Really??? on a new refrigerator?? I threw away at least $ 400.00 worth of food. Is LG reimbursing it?? Really disappointing..

Are former set of a refrigerator only and freezer only pair of 16 cubic feet stainless steel had been our go to for the last 14 years but we thought we needed new, more efficient technology, and not as much space. We are just learning all the bells and whistles of the new LG and are looking forward to many years of service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased as part of a 4 piece suite from Costco. First thing that we noticed is that this thing is really BIG! In fact, we had to remove a wall and some overhead cupboards to get the refrigerator to fit. Not an issue, as we expected this according to measurements. Make sure that you measure to see if this will fit your space. There are numerous Hi-Tech items on this refrigerator and admittedly we have not read the owners manual carefully to understand how to fully utilize the many features this refrigerator offers. The WiFi was rather easy to set up, but the features accessible by Wifi are somewhat ambiguous and perhaps confusing. After all, rather than confirming that the refrigerator is running and cooling, what else would a "normal" person want to control from a remote location. Regardless, the refrigerator is handsome and works well. Everyone that has seen it is impressed. One additional item: The installer says that if he were going to purchase a new kitchen appliance, he would purchase LG based on his observations on the fit and finish along with how often he is called to remove an LG. Most of his removal calls are brought on by the failure of the existing unit. He says that he rarely is called to replace an old or defective LG as opposed to other major manufacturer brands. Good news as far as I am concerned. So far, we are quite impressed and would recommend LG to our family and friends.

Reading the manual the fridge needs a 2 inch air gap along the back and top to allow for air flow and zero clearance around sides. Even with this gap, the compressor over heats and air temps reached 92° behind the fridge setting off warnings of high temps. The LG certified tech who came out with a new compressor said this happens all the time and compressors fail regularly. The fridge needs more like 4 inches on ALL sides. Since our kitchen redo was designed based on the manual, the cabinets are tight on the side so that’s not possible. The fridge is now pulled out into the kitchen more and I had to install component cooling fans behind the fridge to increase air flow because the fridge isn’t made to work per the manual. Otherwise, it’s been operating well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice refrigerator, the icemaker could be bigger, after owning just over 3 years the freezer may be starting to give us a problem, it will not get colder than 8 degrees witch maybe causing ice maker problems.

My refrigerator was purchased in July 2018 and after just over five years the freezer isn’t working and the ice machine will not make ice. I loved the refrigerator up until now and would have recommended it but for obvious reasons, I do not feel confident in purchasing another with the linear compressor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge and we got a great deal on it. I like it esthetically. It’s a very nice fridge. It’s not super fingerprint resistant as advertised and also one of the doors on the fridge you really need to push in to close it. It doesn’t close regularly like other fridges do. Overall the fridge is very large. Make sure you measure your door openings because likely they’ll have to take the door down to make it fit. The fridge is very roomy and overall a great value for someone who has a lot of groceries to put away or a larger family.

Our new fridge was delivered about 2 weeks ago. We love the extra space it is providing us and the convenience provided with 2 freezer drawers. The only issue we have had is that the water dispenser sometimes drips. But is seems to be dripping less often as it gets used.

Love the features different than other brands: french doors have self closing feature, both freezer doors open out completely for easy access, ice maker in the French door which gives more room in refrigerator. Love the look, storage and other features.

Having a extra drawer for frozen items is a really neat feature. The ice maker doses keep up with a family of 6, however a way to automatically fill the extra tray in the drawer would be nice but its still good.
