I absolutely love this vacuum. It is definitely a step above my previous one. I rescued a dog in March and my vacuum could not keep up the the shedding. I’ve never had a dog that sheds so much so I was going a little crazy drowning in dog hair. This vacuum gets ALL the dog hair along with the amount of fine dirt in the canister is crazy! Makes me think my old vacuum just wasn’t working at all! The wand is a little hard to use because the suction is just that good, however I would much rather wrestle with the wand to get the dog hair than have a new dog hair coat 😂😂

This is my second Dyson, nothing compares to it, I’ve tried over 20 vacuums in my 32 year marriage. I recently purchased the new Pet Dyson and gave my 5 year old Dyson to my Daughter in law, she used it once and was amazed at the suction and was the perfect excuse to buy another. My next purchase will be the Hair styling tools.

After many years of use my Dyson animal quit working. I decided it was time to buy a new one instead of fixing the old one. That turned out to be a good decision.The new Dyson animal vacuum has much more suction and picks up fur and dirt much better. The ball does make it easier to navigate around furniture.

The Dyson Ball Animal 3+ Upright is one powerful machine. It does half of what we bought it to do. It has amazing suction power! The brush head can be stopped which is great for hardwood and delicate rugs. However, I really wanted to also be able to use the attachments to clean the stairway, the top of drapes, baseboards, sofa cushions, etc. The attachments are nice and the video Dyson has shows stairs being vacuumed and the hose easily extending. Well, it will extend, but only if one person holds the vacuum in place and the other attempts to pull the hose away. And it takes big time muscle! It is very difficult! It is so difficult, that if not held back by your helper, the vacuum will hug your hip like a toddler. I am serious. I phoned the company to complain and ask what could be done to correct this issue. For at least 20 minutes they acted as if they could not understand what I was talking about. Of course, they got it, as their reviews include this issue. So, if you are excited about using attachments, select another product. This is not it. It does a great job on the floors and carpets. Period.

I have 3 high shed dogs; 2 Siberian huskies and 1 Alaskan malamute. The Dyson does an excellent job of vacuuming up all the fur whenever they blow their coats and the dirt they bring in from outside. Time will tell how long it lasts but so far so good

Love this vacuum, has great suction. My prior vacuum was a dyson, still works well (about 14 yrs old), or so I thought until I used this one. I could not believe the amount of dirt it picked up. I do not have a dog but do watch my daughter's dog quite frequently. I would definitely recommend this vacuum.

Good: tons of suction and is good on carpet, digging out a ton of carpet fuzz. Bad: Much heavier and takes more effort to turn than you'd think. Plastics are very thin, where you wrap the cord on handle and the hose atta hment point. I hate the hose attachment so much that I almost returned the vacuum. Its over complicated and the springiness of it wanting to return makes it fight you. Flimsy cannister. Only keeping it since we have carpet upstairs and dogs and we ran out of time to return. Glad I have my old one for the wood floors. Wife won't use it due to weight.

Got this machine to replace a 12 year old unit that finally died. Sitting them next to each other the first thing I notice is the build quality feels much cheaper on this unit. The power head keeps falling off. The brush roller has seized a few times because soil has gotten into the bearing side. The unit has very little stability when upright, certainly not enough to use the extension hose without knocking the machine over. When leaning the unit back to clean the wheel release makes me think I am going to break them. We love Dyson products but this one badly missed the mark and is going back.

The Dyson Ball Animal 3 Vacuum is amazing! The assembly directions were easy and simple to complete. The operation was good. I did have some difficulty releasing the handle to start vacuuming, I was afraid I was going to break it. The vacuum has a very generous electrical cord. I have a cat and it did great removing cat hair from the carpet. The bin was easy to empty. The utility tools are great. Dyson makes a great product!

this replaced another Dyson that was about 18 years old. The suction is almost as good as our old Dyson, nut the bin and attachment system are VERY flimsy. Cannot imagine this Dyson lasting nearly as long as our previous model. It does as good job, just not nearly as hefty as previous models. Time will tell as to longevity.
