easy set up, plenty of power for home back up

Bought this as an upgrade, my old generator was only 5000 watts runnning and we needed more to run the house, after doing research and comparing models i decided on the wgen9500, out of the box all i needed to do was put on the wheels and feet which took all of about 8 minutes, add the oil and gas and it cranked on first pull, unit does has a battery start as well. i am very pleased with this product.

Easy Setup

I just received the 9500. It was incredibly easy to set up, right out of the box. I added the supplied oil and fuel and it started right up on the first pull. I then tried the electric start and the remote start fob and for each of them the start was effortless and immediate.I can't wait for our next power failure to be able to put this generator to full use.

Went through Hurricane Milton!

We purchased this in the springtime based on the reviews of the product. We went through a dry run and let it operate for about an hour with all of our electric service turned off. I hard wired this into a plug to our load center with his own dedicated circuit breaker. We have a typical 2000 square foot home with a 3 1/2 ton air conditioner, and this generator ran everything except the water heater, dryer, and stove. Our air conditioner only draws 13.8 amps on startup. And this generator didn't even cough when it came on. We're running about a gallon of gasoline for every two hours based on our usage. The first three days we had no electricity and we ran a generator for 10 hours.

Started Right Up ; Does NOT Include Power Cord

Just bought this last week and charged battery overnight last night and started up this morning. Fob has to be paired to generator to start (unless you want to start manually with pull cord). Pairing process was easy and it started right up. However, the one negative is that you really can't start it remotely as I'd imagined because you have to turn on the gas cutoff to "On" and you have to turn the power switch on, so really no point in having a fob to start it with when you have to go out anyway to do these steps. Also, power cord does not come with it so you will have to purchase one before you can actually use it.

Great Generator - Easy set up and use

We purchased this a couple of months back preparing for winter. It was easy to set up and had the first start up in 10 minutes. It was delivered fully assembled except for the wheels. We experienced a 6 hour power outage after purchase and powered everything we needed including 2 refrigerators, freezer, wifi, lights, etc. with no issues.

Runs Entire 2400 Sq Ft Home with 4K HVAC

Hooked up to home using the 50A plug on generator, Twenty foot/ 50A extension cord, Reliance PBN50 power inlet box, 6 ga. THHN wires to 50A breaker with mechanical interlock switch in electric panel. Runs entire home with 4 ton AC. Now for the disclaimer. My 4 ton American Standard condenser is new and pulls less than 40 amps when compressor kicks in. If your condenser is old, or if you can hear it hitting hard when it starts, you may have to install a soft or hard start kit on the condensing unit. I have only tested this for about an hour but cycled the AC on and off a few times and the generator performed very well. I'm in Houston area and the temp was almost 90 with ridiculous humidity when I ran this test.

Great features. Love the wireless remote starter

I received this generator from citizens in and near my city, WPB. I have a Special Needs Daughter and we need to run a lot of equipment for her. We wanted the generator so that we didn't have to run to the hospital during power outages or small storms. We are blessed with this generator. Thank you.

So Far so Good

Just delivered today. Easy set up. Started right up after filling with oil and gas. The battery even seems to be fully charged. I had read some reviews about the rubber feet falling off due to the lack of locking nuts, and planned to Loctite them, but Westinghouse must have listened because the feet were held on with locking nuts. I haven't had a chance to actually test the unit for power output because this is replacing a very old generator with less output and my electrician needs to upgrade the feed to the panel to handle the 50 amp output. The only question I have is why the supplied oil doesn't seem to fill the crankcase, and why no actual oil spec is listed anywhere. I do want to top it up, but I don't want to mix types.

Best purchase I’ve made in years

I purchased this generator a year ago after a storm knocked out our power for several hours. I reviewed it as 5 stars then after unboxing it and doing a few trial runs on appliances but I’m here now to really boast this generator. I live in North East Ohio and on 8/6/24, a nasty storm rolled in and devastated our area and many surrounding. I pulled the generator out, plugged it in to the house and with ease, my entire house was powered. I will say, I don’t live in the biggest house, but I was able to power everything- all appliances, air conditioning, 2 fridge/freezer combos, stand up freezer, the list goes on and on. This generator ran from 6:30pm 8/6/24 until almost 7pm on 8/9/24 while only shutting it down to fill with gas. Out of the 72 hours we were without power, my product ran for about 70 of those. It consistently ran for 12 hr periods before refilling with fuel. I was skeptical about how long the product details stated it would run on a full tank but I’m here to verify it. Refilled twice a day and ran all day/night. Family of 4 (including 2 under 2yrs old) is extremely satisfied with this product. If anything were to ever happen to this generator, I would turn around and buy it again (or bigger). If I could leave a higher star rating to put this review at the top of the list, I would. I could go on and on about this product but I just wanted to share my story/experience with this generator this past week.

Peace of Mind During Power Failures

We bought this generator after many months of looking for one that filled our needs for electrical service during power failures. I love the electrical remote start as I can stand at my circuit panel in the basement and start the generator before making the switch to backup power. The price fit our budget. And the unit powers all the equipment in our house we need to keep my wife save during power outages.
