Bought this generator a few days ago before a tornado hit the farm, I dug it out of rubble, put oil and gas and ran for a week while power was out. I gave the item five stars. Then I emailed company to ask about a manual and buy a new gas tank and frame. I got a snarky response saying none of it was covered under warranty. I guess they thought I believed the generator was covered from tornado damage lol. After giving five stars and a glowing review. I emailed back and told them that I was just looking to buy a manual at least. They are sending a manual for free but gave me a link that says nothing about Westinghouse parts. Tried going to Westinghouse website to see if I could talk to someone, good luck with that! It’s email only. A product is only as good as the people that stand behind it. I’d have to say I’m going from a five to one star, I still don’t know what I’m missing or what came with it. And apparently they don’t care what parts you use……

Purchased the generator online and received it in excellent condition. The power ratings are exactly what I need to power most of my home appliances. After suffering through multiple hurricanes, I am finally confident I found the product I was looking for. I am happy with the quality and the fit and finish. Solidly build and a 3 year warranty tells me Westinghouse stands by their product.

Well thought out design for a generator. Comes with built in gas shutoff valve and battery quick disconnect, great for long term storage. Comes with a remote-control key for starting and stopping of motor. Comes with an oil funnel designed to fit machine. Single fuel power for simplicity. Comes with a parts list to make easier to buying replacement parts.

I did this process in May but I'm glad I'm redoing it now. First time I gave an incorrect serial number, I hope all is good now. I really like the unit and the features it offers. The unit seems to be well designed and I also like the db level. I actually put this unit together for my neighbor and ended up purchasing it for myself.

I have owned and operated Santa Elena's food truck for the past three years in Fort Collins CO. We started with the smaller IGEN4500 which was great until it was stolen. It was very reliable. However, we wanted more juice to be able to play with more toys and have a even more capacity for our business, we are so excited to have the solid reliability of the Westinghouse 9500!

We bought this as our backup power supply for our new solar system with a direct connect. The unit is clearly well-built and very easy to get set up and running. If I were to complain about anything on the unit I would say that I wish it ran quieter. It seems like this would be an easy thing for WH to modify with a better muffler system. It's not horrible but you do not want it running near where you are socializing for long periods of time. The fuel tank takes about 6.6 gallons of gasoline. I put about 3 gallons in the tank the first time and could not tell if the fuel gage was registering or not. It may require a full tank to register, or the 'dial indicator' is not working.

Bought this generator to power my entire house, including the AC, when we lose power. Which happens more than I’d like to say. Works great and also the added bonus of battery start and remote start, aids in starting and shutting down from inside the house. Highly recommended

Absolutely love this thing! It looks great, easy to set up even though the instructions are out of date, and can power 6 breakers in my home just fine. I cant believe these generators have a remote start Fob! Westinghouse best in the business doing it right! Worth every penny spent!

I bought this generator about 2 months ago. It was super easy to assemble the wheels and foot stops. The instructions are very easy to follow. The unit comes with the exact amount of oil needed. The unit started right up with the electric start button and then again with the remote. I started EVERYTHING in my 5th wheel and the generator did really well. I have two huge A/Cs, a full size fridge, full size microwave, electric water heater, water pump, electric fire place and a few appliances (such as vacumn, coffee). I just added some fuel stabilizer just in case since I won't be using it as often. Last thing, I'm currently at about 5,000+ feet above sea level. The instructions say I may need a kit for high altitude, but I haven't needed it yet. The generator is slightly louder than I would like, but I found it to be the quietest in the market that can produce this much power. The generator is also heavy, so I posted a picture of how I put it in my RV.

Just got this in!! Added oil and gas..Fired right up with the remote start!!! Excellent so far!! I'm up in the foothills of CA and PG&E is cutting power all the time now. Had a Genarac 3600 But decided to go with a bigger stronger unit. Going to be hard wired into the panel in a week. So far so good!!!!
