It was very easy to put the wheels on and it came with the correct amount of oil (1.1l) to quickly add to the generator. After connecting the battery (through a connector), I added gas, hit the start switch and on the second try of the auto start, it fired right up. I was impressed that it started so quickly right out of the box. The remote start works great and I was able to start it from the comfort of my house.

It is very simple to assemble, they provided the oil, funnel and tools to get it started. The push button start works great. My wife used the remote start key fob inside and outside house. This feature is a mobility saver since my wife is disabled. She has the freedom to start and stop the generator if she leaves the house. The generator is very quiet. A couple weeks after I received it, I lost power for 3 days, powered the whole house. It is a must have. I would definitely recommend!!!
Fantastic House Generator

This WGen 9500c was the perfect fit for my needs as well as affordability. I added an Interlock kit to my main entrance panel and the outside plug as well. I am now confident that the next outage will not be so worrisome especially in wintertime. Everyone should consider an alternative power source for their home. Regards David Morris

A neighbor helped us with the decision because he has the same model and it worked like a charm for his family. The Quick Start Guide relieved my worry as it's a piece of cake to set up and run. - 1 out of 5 stars review1/29/2026I bought this generator a little over a year ago. I initially set it up, ran it and all was good. I even pulled it out of my garage and ran it every so often. When a predicted snow/ice storm came out, I pulled the generator out and put it where I’d be using it if power went out. Only problem, every time I started it, the CO light would flash and off it went. This was in an open area. I have tried several times in differing spots with no luck. It has never really been used, just started periodically. I’m so disappointed. Please advise on how this can be fixed.

Not being a mechanic I called a friend to help. We finally got it started but it still didn’t run as it should’ve. I really believe there is a defect that Westinghouse does not want to address. I had another friend take it and work on it and finally got it running. I would run it at least once a month for 20 minutes or...
