I bought this a month ago, so far haven't had the need to use it. However, after doing a lot of comparisons this particular unit I felt had the best power, for the price. In addition to this it had the automatic battery charger, was easy to set up, has a 40 and a 50amp outlet. Customer Service is great! I called with a question and with a very tolerable waiting period spoke to an agent who answered quickly and professionally in layman's terms.

we had the power go out last week but dident have the gen. but 3 days later we picked it up. I get it home but wheels,oil gas ity started right up and runs quieter then i thought it would. never used it yet,but did try outlets and works great.we don't have to worry about power now,it has plenty.When I do use it I'll give a update

I reviewed generators myself for several months. Then I checked other's reviews on the internet. Westinghouse came out on top. So far I have just fueled it up and ran a test. A little bit loud. But what do you expect from a 9500 watt machine? I consider this insurance for long term power outage. I live in a hurricane/tornadoes area. I really hope I don't need it, but ....

This is a great product to ensure that I have power incase of an outage. It will operate mostly all items in my house. It is very easy to hookup and runs very smooth. I love the all the extra features it has such as remote start and the large fuel tank makes refilling a dream.

This machine will definitely resolve my power outage problems, specially at these drastic changes in the weather, global warming, etc. It's very easy to move around and as that old quote: " Better have it and don't need it, than need it and don't have it".

Ordered the generator and got it in a couple days. Seems to be built well. It was easy to assemble and runs great. Only reason for 3 stars is that it was supposed to have a bonus cover that you get for writing a review. I was informed that it is not available. Very disappointed that I cant get it.

Extremely happy with this generator. Remote start works perfect, electric start works perfect, 50 amp output allows me to power my house with air conditioning. I was torn between this model and the dual fuel model however the extended runtime on this model sold me. Assembly was a snap.

After being disappointed with another brand of comparable size, I decided after reading 2 independant reviews of the top 5 and top 10 portable 12K generators to purchase the Westinghouse WGen9500 (which is 12K start up). The attention to detail was the first thing I noticed as I unboxed it. After attaching the wheels and base legs and putting the oil (which was supplied) in the crankcase, and 1 gallon of gas in tank, I pushed the electric start button. It took between 2-3 seconds to start and ran smoothly. The first thing I noticed was the quietness for this size generator. I have 2 smaller generators and it is quieter than either. The remote start feature is really nice. I went in the house which is 40 yds from my shop, hit the button and it started immediatley. Hooked a load to it and it performed flawlessly. I bought it for power back for my home but have not hooked it to transfer power and test it yet, since I have only had it a few days. It is also very easy to move and manuever with the big wheels and handle. I am very impressed and would recommend it to anyone who needs this size generator.

Bought this unit with home and livestock care use in mind. Love the compact design and the myriad of features, especially the remote start for shows. Very happy with the unit so far and the steel frame, metal gas tank and gorgeous blue paint make for a tremendous purchase.

I purchased the generator a few days ago. I have not had need to use it yet. But I started it on Friday to assure that it would start and run. Started immediately. Unpacking instructions should be outside the box. How do these instructions help when you have already opened the box to find them. The box was in nearly destroyed condition when I received it. Should be shipped on a skid because it is too heavy for a cardboard box that is manhandled.
