I purchased this generator after lots of research. I had to wait almost 3 months, after I got the cables and plugins installed to use it on my house, for a power outage. We had power out after a 60 mile an hour wind storm, and it performed beautifully. I am so impressed with how it is so well heavy duty built. The controls are simple, love that it has a gas shutoff and electric start. I had the entire house on it except the hot water heater, then shut off a few things to allow the water to get hot then removed it from the load. The integrated handle makes it easy to move around with its big wheels. The large 6.6 gallon gas tank allows it to run all day. I've had three other generators and this one is by far the best and last I will ever own... Thanks

Living in Florida, I've had several major-brand generators (Grac, Hon, Champ) and this Westinghouse tops them all. The auto-start, auto-choke are great features and the multiple outputs ensure compatibility anywhere, anytime. I use this with a transfer switch to power most of our home during outages. The 12500 starting amps is spot on and the fuel consumption guidance is true. If you load it up, you will go through some gas but "big blue" will not leave you out in the cold. This thing is a work horse!

The frame was bent in a couple of places but the generator didn't seem to have any damage. I read the startup and had no problem with it starting right up. I put a small load on it with no problem. Everything looks good so far, generator came with all the stuff they said. I would have given it 5 stars except for the frame damage.

We ordered this generator because our electrician suggested Westinghouse. We finally got to use it for a full-day power outage a few weeks back. The electric battery start is great and it's fairly easy to move with the wheels attached despite its size. It started right up and literally ran our whole home's needs without any trouble (heater, hot water, lights, computer, tv, 2 fridges). The only thing I wish were different is if it could be quieter, but any generator this size is going to be loud. Basically, it does a great job and we are very satisfied!

Just picked up our Westinghouse 9500 generator ! and Unboxed the generator Was very easy to assemble had it up and running in about 30 minutes . Our 50 amp power cord has not come in yet . Will update this review when I can put a load test on this well built generator . At this time I have run my two stage air compressor and a few of my power tools with no problems . We are Planning on running our home during power outages .

I bought this unit because I just had a 50 amp plug installed to run my generator in case of loss of electricity. I live in South Louisiana and going this route is so much cheaper than a whole house unit. We live about 3 miles from the Vermilion Bay.

Just received and have not even used it. Doing this review to get the free cover. Don't know how a person can do a review when they haven't been given the opportunity to use it many times. We won't use it until our power goes out which is not often and would imagine it will work great brand new. The real test will be in the future years after being used many many times, then that will be when a true review is able to be made.

THIS THE BEST AND THE EASIEST PORTABLE GENERATOR TO USE. MY POWER COMPANY CANT FOR SOME REASON, KEEP THE POWER GOING. AND WAS TIRED OF LOOSING MY FOOD IN THE REFRIGERATOR. FOOD COST ARE RIDICULOUS. SO I PURCHASED THIS UNIT AND I KID U NOT THE POWER WENT OUT ON A BEAUTIFUL SUNNY DAY. AND I WAS READY THIS TIME. BUT THE POWER CAME BACK ON IN 5 MINUTES BEFORE I COULD ROLL THIS BABY OUT, ALMOST LIKE IT KNEW WGEN9500c WAS ABOUT TO SHOW OUT AND PUT THE POWER COMPANY TO SHAME BUT I CAN REST A SHURED THAT THIS WG9500c WILL HAVE ITS DAY WHEN THE STORM SEASON IN ST.LOUIS MO STARTS SOON, IM LOCKED A LOADED AND READY.

I've only had a chance to open, unpack and inspect it so far but I'm very impressed by what I see. It's extremely solid and well put together and it was very well packed. Paint is perfect and there are no sharp corners anywhere. I'm anticipating the operation of it to be just as good.

Well designed unit and offers good value for the price. Had a problem with the remote fob. I was sent a replacement in 4 days. Only problem? Westinghouse offered a free cover for writing a review. Turns out they ran out of the covers. So no free cover. Come on Westinghouse, make some more and follow through on your offer...
