I shopped around looking for an all purpose generator that I could use in the field to power tools and my welder. I like the fact that it is advertised as its running wattage not its peak as so many other generators are. The remote, wheel kit with handle and engine oil are a real bonus, so many other generators charge extra for or don't have those options. Exhaust noise is acceptable and the weight of the unit is to be expected. I can't vouch for the engine but I have no reason to believe it isn't reliable with proper maintenance. If you're looking for a good all purpose generator with plenty if the most wanted features then look no further.

I live in South Florida and wanted something large enough to power my central AC, fridge etc during hurricane season. Last year I had an electrician install a 50A outlet outside so I could just connect the generator to that one outlet and power the whole house. It was astonishing to me how may generators of this size only offer 30A and not 50A outlets. That is what ultimately led me to this model. I bought it back in Oct, but that was the end of hurricane season, so it sat in my garage unboxed until today because I’ve had so many other pressing home projects. This weekend was project free so figured I better inbox this and make sure it runs. The set up was super easy, tip to it side, connect feet and wheels, add oil (which is provided in the box), add gas, connect battery, turn fuel Valve to on, turn electric on, hit start on the remote (a generator with a remote start is so cool, so had to use the remote). Hit the start button on the remote and it cranked twice but didn’t start (of course this is expected due to the fact that the carburetor was bone dry). Cool thing is, it re-tried starting again without me hitting the button and stated right up, ran like a champ for 20 min with no issues. It comes with a battery charger that plugs right into the panel, has a fuel gauge and electric meter that monitors voltage, run time, etc. I love everything about this generator, easy to assemble and use, 12,500W peak and 9500W continuous power and a 50A connection, have no doubt that this will power all the household essentials when that big storm hits

As a qualified electrician of more than 24 years, a lover of quality craftsmanship, and a highly critical individual, I can undoubtedly say that I am very impressed with this fine piece of electrical machinery. I would recommend my Westinghouse 9500 to anyone. Powerful yet portable. Classy yet simple. We purchased this a couple of months back preparing for winter. It was easy to set up and had the first start up in 10 minutes. It was delivered fully assembled except for the wheels. We experienced a 6 hour power outage after purchase and powered everything we needed including 2 refrigerators, freezer, wifi, lights, etc. with no issues.

Just received and have not even used it. Doing this review to get the free cover. Don't know how a person can do a review when they haven't been given the opportunity to use it many times. We won't use it until our power goes out which is not often and would imagine it will work great brand new. The real test will be in the future years after being used many many times, then that will be when a true review is able to be made.

I bought this generator one week ago because we had a power outage two weeks ago. Reading all of the reviews and the features this generator has to offer. Will be great for our upcoming storms this hurricane season. This will power my whole house, including my AC system.

Hasn't really been put to the test yet, but almost excited to have a power outage. With a little prep, it's all set-up for plugging into utility pole & ready to go. Was warned about some other generators from other places, but this one looks good & should meet our needs.

I bought this generator on May 30, 2020. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand. I crank started it and electric started it and it started immediately. I ran it for awhile and then put a load on it . It has run flawlessly. I am very pleased with this generator and I would recommend it to anyone preparing to buy a generator.

I currently have the Westinghouse gen4500gfc inverter and absolutely love it. Quiet and easy to move around. Currently use it to power my house but want something that will power everything 100% and came across this Wgen9500c. Price was right and shipped to my door for free. Not too excited by the shipping carrier beating the box up but doesn’t appear to be any major damage other than a dent in the fuel tank. Could use more styrofoam inside box for protection in my opinion. 4-stars for this reason
