I received this generator one week ago and the assembly was a breeze taking only a few minutes to set up. The generator started right up and has great features with a push button start, pull start, and remote. The generator seems well built, I have rant it twice, and I highly recommended it.

I live in Florida, and I was tired of not having enough power during outages to run my air conditioner, two refrigerators and a freezer. So I decided to upgrade my generator. The WGEN9500 has enough muscle to use a power panel interlock (rather than a more costly transfer switch) so that I can choose run any circuit in my home during the outage. Some may find this more inconvenient than using a transfer switch, however, this setup works well for me. My unit came well packaged, was easy to assemble; just the wheels and 2 feet. After putting in the oil with the funnel (both supplied) and connecting the battery then filling with 87 octane fuel (regular) it fired right up and tested out perfectly. I look forward to many years of dependable backup power from my new Westinghouse generator.

generator seems to run well. The battery swich does not work every time but may work better after some use. They include 1 Qt. of oil which is not quite enough . The starter button must be held for a few second to start and it must be held a few seconds to shut down. Overall the generator seems like a very nice product, fit and finish seem excellent. I was a bit worried about the TMD rating so I bought a surge protector. It starts easily and produces 244 volts at 62,5 Hz at no load. I wish they would have included a 50 amp plug. BUT still a very nice product for the money

I've been looking at this for 2 yrs. We live in Northern calif. foothills.Were fires and wind can take out your power at any time.I finally got it and feel so much better now.I have test run it once and it runs the hole house and the well with no problems.I would tell anyone who asks about one to check out Westinghouse first.

Purchased this generator to run our entire house, when the power goes out during a hurricane. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost and features of it, compared to the others. It provides plenty of power to run all of my wife’s hair products and the lights at the same time!! Happy wife, happy life!

Been looking for a powerful generator that didn't break the bank and this one fit the bill. Ordered on Thursday and was delivered on Monday. Put it together, filled with oil and gas, and it fired up on the first start. Soooo happy. Cant wait for the power to go out...lol

I bought this Generator to help protect my house and keep it running after Hurricane and/or power outages. It is the 9500 and I can run most everything in my house during an outage. It can be started remotely, electronically or by pulling the cord. I have everything set up and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. To my surprise it came with tools and oil to get me started. Not many do this any longer.

So far, very pleased with this generator. Purchased after Ida so we dont have to eve sleep at someone elses again when without power. The generator was very easy to do the very little amount of assembly (wheels and stands), and started without a problem. The push start and remote start are very simple, and remote start is quick and easy to set up. Cannot wait to put this thing to the test, but also dont want to have to use it too too soon hahaha. Delivery was amazing as well. It was placed under the carport out of the elements, and the boxing looked to be in great shape, which shows it was handled well during shipping, which took about 20 days. Very happy

We purchased this generator because we need one with enough power to meet our hurricane and storm interruption needs. So far, it looks as though it will meet our expectations. It is quite easy to move around which is a plus when you are dealing with storms.

This thing fits the bill. I am using it for intermittent power outages and it powers everything we need. It was packed well and showed up looking new like it should. Added the oil, used the included battery charger to top the battery off. Gave it some gas and it fired up right away. Its not excessively noisy for the price and size, it runs very smoothly. All the controls work well and the remote is a nice extra.
