I did a lot of research before purchasing the WGen9500. For the price and the power you get out of this machine, there was no question in my mind which generator I would buy. So far I have finished all the preoperational steps and am now ready to gas it up. What I can say so far is that when following the instructions, there are a couple things that were different for my machine than what came with the instructions. Example, It tells you to connect the negative cable to the housing of the alternator. There is an empty screw hole here, but the cable is not long enough and was already connected as part of a wire bundle elsewhere. Also when shipped, it takes just over the amount of oil they ship it with. I was checking frequently to ensure I didn't over flow, but it would have been nice to know how much oil to expect to put in. I'm still very happy with my purchase and would absolutely purchase again. This being said, I have yet to use it so I reserve some judgement until I see it run. From everything I have seen to date, I would be surprised if it doesn't run extremely well.

Purchased a week ago and am so happy we are now ready for hurricane season. Generator is very modern with three ways of starting. Manual, push button, or remote start provides convenience and adaptability. This is a well built system and runs smoothly.

I did much research before I made this purchase, and I am glad I did. I bought this generator to power my whole house, which it easily does. I had an electrician come in and wire everything and he even commented on the great product this generator is. Once he was done with his work, we tested the generator. I was very happy with the outcome. It was what I had expected and more. The features are great as well. The 30 and 50 amp plugs are perfect. The USB ports are a bonus. the push button start with a remote also means I can get this generator warmed up and ready before I have to go out on a cold winter day. It even comes with a battery trickle charger. Westinghouse thought of everything. If you are searching for a generator, here it is. I bought this unit as a backup for my entire house, I hadn't used it for an extensive period of time until Hurricane Ian came through knocking out power for several days. This unit powered my house and ran perfectly the entire time. I had neighbors coming by the house to recharge items and provide electricity to my neighbor to keep their refrigerator working.

Just received my new WGEN9500DF. I am very happy with the new purchase. Remote start, with battery disconnect and charger. After having 8 degree temps and my 13 year old generator circuit board giving up, I am very happy to have the security and power this generator will provide. All for a very reasonable price. This generator should power my whole house including AC. I know I will need to turn off my septic and water well, but we can alternate these needs. Thanks Westinghouse

I bought this generator Jan 5th. it was easy to set up with the great directions. We had the power go out last week and the generator worked great, I use oxygen and now it doesn't matter if the power goes out we can run my compressor and the fridge no problem. Thanks

I am 67 as was worried about being able to move a 200lb generator. After installing the wheels and legs(super easy), I just flipped the handle up and off I went. Very well balanced and great leverage. Very simple and easy to follow instructions for start up. Compact and lot's of extra power.

Just got this beautiful, powerful portable generator, for emergency backup incase of a power outage. A month ago our power went out for three days and we had to borrow a generator. It was an 8k generator and it kept up pretty good. After the power came back on we decided to purchase one ourselves. we chose the Westinghouse 9500 because it is reliable, powerful enough for our needs, and it looks good too.

We purchased this generator after we had a transfer switch professionally installed. It will power the house, including our central AC, in the event of a prolonged power outage. Fingers crossed we will never need to use it, but knowing we have it in the garage ready to go gives great piece of mind.

We bought this for Hurricane Debby that just came over us in Suwannee County FL. It worked on propane but when we swithced to gas it would'nt start again!!! We had to go borrow a generator again even though we had bought a brand new one. Now we are lookin at another storm that could possibly head our way in a few days...and we have NO generator even though we just paid for this one in full. A little frustrated at the moment.
