I bought the 9500/12000 last year around July/August through a relative. I am not based in the U.S. Started good and then all of a sudden couldn’t start. I called a repair man who opened the engine to find out that the cam was rubbing against the engine case which broke some parts of the cam with spring and something else. After it was replaced, the generator ran well, but then it stopped turning off with the remote. The generator came with factory issues. Other than these issues, I think the generator is good. But why an aluminum coil for such generator?

This is a great generator, but they need to update the user manual. The manual indicates that you need to connect the battery cables to the battery. This generator came with the cables already connected. However, I was not getting power from the battery which did not allow the electric start to work. It took me a while to discover that there was a quick connect for the cables tucked up underneath the frame with a zip tie.

After researching many generator brands and features, I purchased the Westinghouse wgen9500. I received it this morning. I unboxed it, installed the feet, wheels, and added the oil and gasoline, it started immediately. Runs quietly for this size generator. I highly recommend this product!

It's hurricane season in Fla and I needed to replace my old generator. This Westinghouse generator was just what I was looking for with the right balance of power and easy-to-use features. Once I unboxed it, putting the wheels on and the other supports was a snap. Took five minutes and once I filled it up with oil and gas, it started up perfectly the first time. This generator is easy for one person to wheel around and provides enough juice to power the important things I need powered should a major storm blow through and knock out the power grid.

Looks like a very nice generator. Haven't used yet but everything looks easy to use. We bought this because it has a remote start and a push button start so I can start it if my husband is at work and I need it like last year. Has place for different stuff to be plugged in and charged at the same time.

Just arrived today, easy delivery and set up. While I have not yet run full power, everything is as advertised. One little thing to watch for, the oil that is included, just brings the oil to the low mark on the stick, and with a any new engine, it may use a little at first, so be careful not to run it low. Have an extra quart on hand.

We absolutely love our new generator. It was super easy to set up and the remote electric start is such a great feature. It has enough power to power our entire small house, air conditioning and all. This hurricane season in Florida will be a lot less stressfull for us, knowing that we're ready for any power outage.

We bought this a few days ago for insurance after a hurricane in our area (Helene). It was easy to assemble and we started it up for about an hour and it worked well. This is a great insurance policy and a piece of mind if (and when) the electricty goes out. We are pleased.

In an unexpected power outage, we were able to purchase the Westinghouse 9500c generator. It ran strong for 8 days and powered everything we needed in the house. We were careful not to run too much electric at once, but we were impressed none-the-less. It really saved us, as the temperatures were quite cold. Also impressive is the manual! It provides very specific details in a very easy to read and understand format. The instructions made setup, use, and an oil change a breeze!! The unexpected bonus for us was the remote start/stop fob. We didn’t realize how nice this made things; saving us from going out into the cold to push a button. Our only complaint is the noise. It is loud, and 8 days of it was uncomfortable. However, I don’t believe it is any louder than the average generator. And we expected the noise as part of the deal. Obviously, the benefits outweighed this one negative.

This Westinghouse 9500 C generator is very nice. It came with a remote start and a plug-in battery tender Both work very well. This generator has the 30 amp twist lock plug but also has the 50 amp plug Which is a must-have if you're trying to run your whole house.. It runs strong and smooth.. Looking forward to years of dependable operation..
