I've been wanting a standby generator for years but way too spendy! This one fit the bill for my home and the wattage that I need. It arrived on time, no troubles. After I put it together and filled it with oil, it started right up. I hooked it up to some heaters and a vacuum and ran it for an hour with no problems. The big test will be when the power goes off again and where I live, that is quite often. Overall, a very nice generator and I love the controls and the remote start. Very well built!

Generator started right up. I didn't see any signs of damage from shipping. All the accessories were there. The noise is about what I expected. Size is nice and compact and easy to move around. The only trouble I had getting going was the manual states that 2 wires need to be connected to the battery terminals but they already were but no light came on when the power switch was turned on. Battery was charged. Traced the lines back and found they were unplugged from a connector. Should change the manual or put a bright colored tag on the wires stating they need to be connected.

Arrived in good shape. Installed the wheels, skid pads, oil and gas. Plugged in the battery. Turned on the power and gas, pushed the start button and started immediately. Ran it for 30 minutes, smooth as can be. If seems to be solidly built. Hopefully it will last a long time. So far I'm pleased. Time well tell.

We bought this and it was delivered a few days ago... just got gas in it today and it starts right up ...no pull start just push a button. We have had power outages that have lasted 7-14 days due to weather and it was miserable.Bought this generator after reading reviews and talking with sales people.Glad we bought it .....seems like a very good investment !!

We bought this in anticipation of winter storms. We haven't had to use it as of yet. We ran it for the initial 4-5 hours before putting a load on it. Once that was done we just plugged in some power tools to check the outlets. Everything worked fine. I am excited to be prepared for any power outages we may incur.

Very easy to assemble wheels and rear feet. Started up as soon as I put in oil and gas. If this is as good as the smaller westinghouse generator I have been using for years I will be very happy with this purchase. If anyone asks me for a recommendation I would reccomend Westinhouse

I just purchased my Westinghouse standby generator on August 5 of this year and it was delivered yesterday. My son-in-law came out and checked it out for me since he’s mechanically inclined. Being that my wife and I live only 15 north of the Gulf of Mexico and being 78 years young the electric start feature was a great investment in and of itself. Pull starting our old generator was a little rough and asking neighbors to do that for me was embarrassing but now, I don’t have to. Thanks so much.

Just received our WGEN-9500. It came within 2 days and with no issues. We lose our power frequently in the rural area we live in and this generator will give us almost an all house generator at a fraction of the cost. After doing my research and reading many reviews, on reliability, performance and customer support, we decided on this Westinghouse generator. Solid, well made and easy to unbox and get up and running. Feeling a lot more secure now!

We experience power outages 3-4 times a year regardless of the maintenance the linemen do. A friend suggested this brand as "rock solid" and he was right! easy to put together along with engine prep and in using the key fob fired right up on the first hit! the push button start on the unit itself fired up in one push . . .now i know my wife can start it if i'm not home and its gives her confidence to!

The unit came nicely packaged and was easy to unpack. Directions are very concise and clear and I was able to have it up and running within about 30 minutes. The push button and remote start are amazing. Definitely would recommend. This unit is large enough to handle the total load required for my home.
