Bought this generator a couple of weeks ago and just received it today. It is quite the machine. Was impressed with the build of it and it looks great. Wheels and feet went on easily, after setting the generator on some 2x4's. Filled the oil, which comes with it. Added gas and started it up. The push button start feature is great. The remote start feature is also awesome. Didn't even realize it came with remote start. After programming the remote, which was a breeze, it starts and stops the generator with ease. Love the multiple ways to start it up. Plenty of outlets to power anything i need and plenty of power. It's quieter than I expected, neighbors house barely hears it running. Totally impressed and can't wait for a power outage, lol.

Replaced old unit with new generator that has more watts, the unit should have switches for 120v to 240v. Which would make using unit easier. To which you have to rely on the unit to make that choice for you which can be nerve racking at times unless you don't care about the item being powered by the generator.

I purchased this generator after lots of research. I had to wait almost 3 months, after I got the cables and plugins installed to use it on my house, for a power outage. We had power out after a 60 mile an hour wind storm, and it performed beautifully. I am so impressed with how it is so well heavy duty built. The controls are simple, love that it has a gas shutoff and electric start. I had the entire house on it except the hot water heater, then shut off a few things to allow the water to get hot then removed it from the load. The integrated handle makes it easy to move around with its big wheels. The large 6.6 gallon gas tank allows it to run all day. I've had three other generators and this one is by far the best and last I will ever own... Thanks

I bought this generator a few weeks ago. I have yet to use it in an emergency but I am sure I will be able to run this even when my husband is not home. The electric start button and remote work like a charm! I now feel safe with hurricane season in full swing. No doubt I will be able to run all my important appliances and still have enough to power an AC which is a must in the Texas heat.

I wanted to be able to power critical components in my house and garage including two (2) freezers and my refrigerator as well as lights, fans, well, TV. I fired up the generator with no issues. The push-start is so much better than having to hand-crank. Surprisingly, the generator is not as loud as I expected it. My older 5200W aftermarket generator seems twice as loud. I tested connectivity to my house today and all devices worked great. I was even able to use the microwave. The only exception were the two (2) UPS connected to my TV and network devices. Even after adjusting sensitivity on these UPS, they still don't like being on generator power and switch back-and-forth between generator power and battery power. I understand an inverter generator is needed for this type of equipment. Overall, I feel very well prepared that I won't have to sit in the dark during hurricane season. I'm very glad I purchased this product.

After reviewing the power requirements for our home, I purchased the Westinghouse WGen 9500c. Since my purchase the generator has operated perfectly. The setup and operating instructions are easy to follow. The original plan was to use extension cords to power key items in our home. After a review of having of an inlet box installed hook up to the generator is much easier and convenient for us when power is out.

I wanted a carburetor not a fuel injection system. Not much was made clear to me in its description. This is just more electronic junk to go bad, including the remote, which is only greed. I did wonder why everyone in the US was selling these so cheap? Now I know. I had to change from the great generators I had been using to this! I hope it lasts through December. It has too many gadgets and they cannot even put the serial number on the manual... you have to go out in a storm when it arrives and find it just above the exhaust and try to write it down while breathing exhaust. I wonder what would happen in a storm if you were trying register it by breathing exhaust? Yet, there are thousands of warnings about everything. I am off-grid and have had 100s of generators, yet I cannot even work on this one. Westinghouse has made it impossible without a electronics shop to work on this machine. I will not buy another Westinghouse.. greed typical of companies like Westinghouse. I do not recommend this product for any place where you are using it as backup for storms.

We purchased this generator almost a month ago and couldn't be happier with our decision. Living in Eastern NC, we experience hurricanes yearly, and we get the occasional winter snowstorm. We live out in the country and anytime any such storm is forecasted, its practically a guarantee we will lose power. In the past, these power losses have been anywhere from a few hours to several days. I have a 26-year-old special needs daughter who spends the majority of her life on the internet. Of course, no power...no internet, It doesn't take long before everyone is in a fowl mood. Also, if the outage extends more than a few days we lose 2 chect-type freezers full of food and everything in the refrigerator. Added to all of this, I, myself was put on oxygen by my doctors in July. Its something I will have to deal with for the rest of my life. As you can read, taking all of these circumstances into account made selecting a generator a very important decision. We did our homework and researched several different models and brands. After much deliberation, we decided on the Westinghouse WGen 9500. It met all of our needs and then some, It's big enough for the square footage of our house, and having the option of using the remote is truly a blessing, I don't want to have to go out in a storm at my age to pull start it, at 70 years old, it's not safe. We haven't had it a month yet but have already put it to the test. We took almost a direct hit from tropical storm Ophelia last weekend. We lost power before the storm even made landfall. Within minutes we were back up and running. Nobody got fussy without the internet, we had no loss of food and I was able to continue on my oxygen. This generator is definitely a lifesaver. We do have plans to have it hard wired to the house when finances permit but even using it with cords, we couldn't be happier. I would like to receive the cover to protect it. Thank you for making a fantastic product.

Bought the generator last month and it arrived as scheduled and was in perfect condition. Easy to assemble the few parts. Read through the excellent manual and it fired up on the first push of the starter. Everything works perfectly. It seems to be a high quality machine. I would heartily recomment it.

we bought this model based on range of features and power since we live in a hurricane zone and expect to lose power - it was a replacement for a very similar westinghouse product used reliably for years...and we're looking forward to enjoying this one for many more
