Bought a W9500 a couple weeks ago, and right out of the box you could tell it was really well built. Basically all I had to do was dump oil in the engine, gas in the tank, plug in the battery and press the start button. It fired right up! Puts out plenty of power and is easy on fuel. Compared to competitors, it's a bargain for the power and quality you are getting.

Living in Florida requires that you have a portable generator! Hurricanes come, Power goes. We had a generator but it was one with a pull start which got more difficult as we age. After research we determined that this Westinghouse 9500/12000 was perfect for us, it has an electric starter and gives us more than needed power. Simply Amazing! Right out of the box, got it oiled and gassed up an with the press of a button you hear this beast ROAR (quietly). Great exhaust system for decent idle sound, folding handle is great and the run flat tires are a huge plus for this 240lb machine rolling around in a heavy duty steel frame. My neighbor just ordered his and my other neighbor is soon to order. Definitely the talk of the street! This item will not disappoint. Thank you Westinghouse!

I had used a smaller unit for years and always needed to juggle breakers to make sure I didn't overload the smaller unit. This Westinghouse is set up for a transfer switch from the factory, has electric and remote start plus 50amps breaker protected of power! The quality of construction is obvious everywhere you look. I was comparing other units and was convinced to purchase the Westinghouse by the professional reviews I read. They were so emphatic about the quality and performance and they are right!

Minimal assembly required. I added the oil, some gas, and it fired right up first push of the START button. I am surprised at all the features of this model for the price, for example: remote start and CO detector/shut off. It is well designed and well made. It runs with less vibration and is a bit quieter than I expected.

I'm just getting the generator put together and running today after having it almost a month. It has just about every feature and started on second pull. Starts very quickly now. One note: make sure the battery is connected. The connection was almost hidden but it has to be connected to continue running. Looking forward to using it. It looks great, now if it will run great and for many years it will be worth buying.

Arrived yesterday in great shape. Just finished mounting wheels, legs and adding the oil. Very straghtforward and easy. Good looking machine and appears well built. I'll connect the battery and start it for the first time tomorrow. Single didgets forcast here for the weekend and i'ts great feeling to know I have backup for heat, lights and entertainment.

We FINALLY caved in and bought a generator. After extensive research and asking friends we decided on the Westinghouse WGen9500. I mean, it’s Westinghouse, been in this business forever. This generator is also number one in the top 10 Generators. We have only used it twice bc of power outages. We moved into a house that is already wired up to support plugging it in and running it. We have run everything in this house and not one time has it tripped. This thing is a Godsend. With the way things are going it’s extremely important to have something that will give you the electricity to live your daily life. My mother who lives a few houses away is diabetic and I’m glad she can come here during an emergency and have a cool place to store her medication.

Bought this generator a few days ago before a tornado hit the farm, I dug it out of rubble, put oil and gas and ran for a week while power was out. I gave the item five stars. Then I emailed company to ask about a manual and buy a new gas tank and frame. I got a snarky response saying none of it was covered under warranty. I guess they thought I believed the generator was covered from tornado damage lol. After giving five stars and a glowing review. I emailed back and told them that I was just looking to buy a manual at least. They are sending a manual for free but gave me a link that says nothing about Westinghouse parts. Tried going to Westinghouse website to see if I could talk to someone, good luck with that! It’s email only. A product is only as good as the people that stand behind it. I’d have to say I’m going from a five to one star, I still don’t know what I’m missing or what came with it. And apparently they don’t care what parts you use……
