We habitually lose power several times a year because we live in the country. The last time the electricity was out for days. I was worried about food getting spoiled. This generator foots the bill. I need to explore all the options it offers because I only used the 120v outlets for the refrigerator/freezer. It definitely gives you ‘piece of mind’ when Mother Nature gets nasty. Great product and would recommend..

I bought this about a month ago and so far am very happy. Really good price for the size of the unit, can nearly power my whole house with this one unit and for a fraction of the price of the whole home generators. Fuel consumption is impressive for its size.

i PURCHASED THIS AS A XMAS GIFT FOR MY DAUGHTER FOR HER RV- I DID A TEST RUN AFTER RECEIVING AND EVERYTHING APPEAERED GOOD. 3MONTHS LATER DECIEDE TO RUN IT FOFR A FEW MINUTES TO KEEP BATTERY CHARGED UP FOR XMAS AND THE GENERATOR ENGINE IS RUNNING VERY POORLY-SURGING AND MISFIRING CONTINUOUSLY! TOTAL RUN TIME ON NEW GENERATOR IS LESS THAT 15 MINUTES BETWEEN ORIGINAL TEST RUN AND THE 2ND TIME I TRIED RUNNING IT. I AM ACTIVILEY PURSUING TO GET IT REPLACED OR MY MONEY BACK!

Heavy product but once the wheels and feet are installed it is much easier to move around. The plastic wheels don't give me much confidence, however, that they will last long. It is loud, but it is a 12KW generator! But...It runs my 4 ton AC and most everything else in my house so I am very pleased with it..for now!

After a couple months of reviewing different portable generators. We made the call to purchase the Westinghouse brand due to features and cost. It was delivered and very easy unpacking.. It even came with the oil and all the tools to assemble. Hurricane season is here and I am very certain it will be able to handle an needs we can give it.

Having a smaller generator and wanting a larger one I found all the features I was looking for in this product. All the Utube videos were positive and showed very good capabilities of this unit. Haven't used it yet but am certain it will not disappoint me.

we ordered on a monday and got it tuesday when a hurricane was coming into texas coast and that same day we recieved it we put it to use because we lost power at 5 or so that morning and then didnt come back on until 11 so it was nice seeing the generator actually work!

I had the Westinghouse 9500 for 2 and 1/2 years. I read the manual front to back at least three or four times just to make sure I understood it the best I could. The only thing I did not understand about it was the section about switching the neutral or ground or something based on whether it was a mobile home. I never did figure that out or understand it, but that's on me. I checked the oil as instructed and followed the maintenance schedule as well as possible. For the first two years whenever there was a power outage, I could easily go out, flip a switch start it up and run my whole house like the power never went out. For the last 6 months, it was providing the power for an RV, including the air conditioning unit, in extremely hot weather conditions up to 118° . I don't know what we would have done without it. Then winter came, and that was the beginning of the end. It began making a rattle sound, which I thought was just one of the leg nuts rattling off, it didn't sound really serious based on my limited experience.... The next day BOOM it exploded, not in a combustion and fire way, but in a gear thingy breaking in half, busting through the motor casing and spewing bearings and other miscellaneous parts on the ground beneath it. Was very impressive! But I still give this awesome generator of five star because it truly went above and beyond what any generator should ever be expected to endure! The remote start promoted my laziness and the reliability promoted my comfort level in potentially uncomfortable situations! Yes I will get another one!

I received the WGen9500 on 7/21/22. Unit required very little assembly. The setup, maintenance, and operations instructions were very clear. I will need to procure both the 30Amp and 50Amp power lines separately. Would have been nice to have those included at the price paid for the generator. However, the generator is rich with functionality and should there be a grid power loss, I should be well prepared.

Generator worked great when I first purchased and test ran. Ive started it monthly,since purchased in August of 2023, to let it run a little and shut it off since I have not had the need to run it continuously yet. Today, 1/10/24, I started it up and a few minutes later the CO sensor, yellow light, comes in and shuts down the generator. I even placed it in the middle of my backyard away from everything to try it and it still shuts down due to the CO sensor.
