This generator has all the power I need to run the essentials of of my home. Set up was a easy snap. Directions are also easy to follow. Once you assemble the feet and wheels and fill with the provided oil you are ready to start. After a couple of tries it started right up. I let it run for about an hour before I put a load on it. Then gradually over the next two hours I increased the load. I am able to run lights, two TV's, furnace, two air handlers and well pump all at the same time. very impressed with the design and ease of use. A remote starter is a nice added feature. Now I'm ready for the next power outage.

Purchased product a short time ago and have used for several hrs with no issues what so ever.Living remotely in maine, we loose power frequently throughout the winter months and now feel very secure knowing we have the stand by power. I am very pleased with this unit and look forward to many years of use.

I searched thoroughly before committing to this unit. The Westinghouse name is a familiar one but maybe not for most when it comes to power equipment. I had experience with the company as I purchased a Westinghouse power washer about a year ago. That unit has proven itself along with the company. The TSC web site had 000's of positive reviews for the generator so I was inclined to purchase. I followed the instructions for set up which included adding gas and oil. Next was pairing the remote start key fob. The instructions were clear but the remote was not behaving as expected. After two failed attempts, I pushed the Start button for no real reason. The unit started to fire right up and scared me in the process. The only reason it didn't start was that the gas valve was OFF. As soon as I turned it on, the remote start kicked in on the first attempt. Very happy with the preparation and performance.

After Tropical Storm Isaias took out my town/state and left us without power for days on end (our power company was BEYOND ill prepared) I vowed this would be the last time. I was going to purchase a smaller/less powerful model but after a lot of discussion, research and thought, I pulled the trigger on the WGen9500. I haven't 'used' it yet but I have unboxed, put it together (very minimal and it came with tools and no brainer steps) and fired it up. I have a switch and a cable coming to attach it to my house, but can used corded for now should I lose power. If I never need to DO or USE, this is the best insurance policy for the price ever. Thank you Westinghouse!!

Bought this in prep for another fun power outage. Set up was easy, heavy as heck for a middle-aged mom to pull into the backyard alone but the wheels helped. Ran like a gem with two full refrigerators, portable air conditioner, lots of lights and fans. Very happy. Fuel lasted about 12 hours.

Just set up today and works good so far. one issue is the 50 amp outlet at the generator. The 50amp cord, when plugged in, is problematic to keep a safe connection because of the wheel located right under the outlet connection. You've got to manipulate the very heavy duty cord to be sure the plug stays in. Maybe some cords work better....The design could use some improvement on the operation side. 3 stars are not accurate for the full operating success, but I hope it's a 5 star when the power is out.

I did a good amount of research before deciding on the Westinghouse 9500 Generator. The build quality is excellent, runs like a charm and gave best bang for the buck. Hopefully will never have to use it but I am confident it will be there for me when I need it as long as I exercise it regularly and perform recommended maintenance.

I have not fueled up the new generator at the time of this review so I have not ran it yet. But it was a pleasant surprise to see that this generator came with a spark plug wrench and a wrench to aid in assembling the foot pads and an offset funnel to aid in putting in the motor oil.

Both my neighbor and I bought one and they both burned up. One had 126 hours and the other 170. Both have either warped heads or bent valves. This is complete crap!!! Will never buy Westinghouse “anything” again. One we converted to natural gas the other was running on straight gas.

This was a great buy for me considering the price.. I would have preferred the dual fuel model, but they were out of stock at the time of purchase.. After the last 2 day blackout, I decided that being prepared is very necessary.. This should run everything in my home and then some....
