Bought Oct 13th 2021 so far the generator has lived up to my expectations. I owned a Genrac 8000 running amps for 10 years until it failed. I guess I will judge this generator more fully when we have our next power outage. A generator is a necessity because we live out in the country, and have had major outages before. Having a generator provides security for us.

Nice generator, but wheel support had to be re-welded to support the wheels, still the wheel support needs to be more sturdy. shipping was awful, shipped in a normal shipping box with no support for the very heavy generator. as a result there were dents in the generator.

purchased generator a week ago,its pretty quiet easy operation,back fired 1 time when starting up,wish there was no co2 sensor,believe its going to be a problem,i operate a food truck with close range space.seem like its well built,will know much better in the months to come.

Sold a 20 year old 4500 watt… The WGEN9500 seems as quiet, with a bigger tank and the same ease of starting. Test was a 1/2 hp compressor for 60 mins. The old gen would gun up when the compressor kicked on - the 9500 does not even notice. If you have an older generator.. now is the time to upgrade. I am not much of a prepper.. but let’s face it, if you can cover a day or two outage with a generator you will save your fridge, your hotel costs and - like this February maybe keep your pipes from freezing. That is why i doubled my old capability. These outages are getting a lot worse….

I bought this generator after reading reviews. I am not disappointed. I had it installed last weekend just in time for 32 power outage. I was not disappointed. This generator powered my whole house plus my water pump. The electric start is great. No pulling for this elderly lady. So many additional features. This generator went beyond my expectations. I have the smaller generator as well and love both.

I'd been looking for a backup generator for my house. Initially I was thinking one of those auto generators, but they are exorbitantly expensive. That caused me to begin researching other options and I found a lot of great tutorial videos instructing how to do the same thing with a portable generator such as this. After narrowing that search down, I began looking at different brands and I centered on Westinghouse. A household name for generations and with the options this comes with makes it everything I wanted to included a 50AMP service right into my house or total power for my shop that is not currently electrified.

Just bought in preparation for hurricane season in Florida. Generator has all the features I need and at a reasonable price. Item was delivered on promised time but box was damaged in transit. No visible signs of damage to Generator. Have not had to use yet so can't accurately describe performance.

Bought for upcoming hurricane season but couldn’t get electrician to install transfer box. All organized now. Tested generator and blown away by all of the features. Installing wheels and feet a breeze. Automatic start works with easy button push. Feeling ready in case of power outage

I bought this a month ago and I am so glad that I did. Just lived through the ravages of Hurricane Ida. Lost power about 10 hours after the wind started picking up and immediately cranked up the 9500 with the starter button. The set-up had been easy - they even included a quart of the proper oil, as well as a funnel to fill it up. Ran every thing I wanted with power to spare for 15 hours without a gas refill. Made the whole event livable. Only wished I had put aside more gas - the lines at the gas station were a pain and I could have poured any I did not use into my truck.

I purchased an original generator in February through Home Depot. After getting the generator delivered it was found to have significant shipping damage. We contacted the GE Customer service line and was offered replacement parts or that they would work with Home Depot to replace the machine. This is the replacement which arrived in less than 3 weeks from the original purchase. This generator was delivered in very good condition. Assembly was easy and straight forward. At this time it runs well on a test and seems to be what we were looking for. Intended use is for backup power to our home since we experience frequent outages during rough weather.
