I bought this a year and a half ago and haven't had to really use it. That is why it took so long to write this review. I go out every month and start it and put a load on it to keep it fresh. It starts first pull every time and has more than enough power to run my whole house. I am very pleased with the engineering of the unit and the ease of attaching equipment. So far, this has exceeded my expectations. If you need a generator, this is the one.

For the size and portability of this generator, it is an absolute powerhouse. It was very easy to put together and the instructions were super easy as well. Within 30 minutes I had the wheels installed and all fluids taken care of, and then with just a push of a button it fired right up. I was surprised that it wasn't as loud as I was expecting for a unit that puts out so much power. I am going to purchase the ST Switch as well for my sump pump on stormy nights. Definitely worth the investment!

After lots of research I decided to go with a Westinghouse for there great customer support and quality product. With all the different brands of generators out there its hard to find one to invest in where you can trust the product to perform when needed. Westinghouse does just that.

Purchased this unit for my mother-in-laws back up power needs. 1st impression is it is of high quality construction. Easier to move and starting is a breeze. Will be easy for her to start either pressing start button or key fob. Will be a great asset.

This WGen9500 generator appears very well made. It started right up (after adding oil/fuel). I attached a 30 amp plug to my house transfer switch which powered the house right up. I simultaneously plugged a window unit AC and the garage freezer into the 120V GFCIs, with no problem. The electric start is great and the included battery saved me another expense. It's as loud as you would expect a large generator to be, but it's quieter than my old smaller model. I'm very pleased with it.

I bought this in anticipation of needing it for a storm power outage. Haven’t had the chance to use it like that yet. I have an all electric house so when we’re out, we are out! This isn’t big enough to run everything but will run enough to keep us going until power is restored. I had ordered this online and had it dropped at the store where I picked it up. It weighs close to 300 lbs so it was a beast to get from the van to the ground. I wound up cutting the box off of it and put the wheels and feet on it which was very easy. With the wheels, my 11 year old can move it around no problem in spite of its weight. Added the oil, gas, and installed the battery and it fired right up. It has 3 ways to start and all 3 worked right away. I am not looking forward to the power outage but if it happens, I feel prepared.

Couldn’t be happier! Delivery was a day early. Set up was easy. Everything needed to get this beast running is included except, of course gasoline. Feet and wheels went on easily. Fluids are drained before shipping and pulling the handle upward and gently setting it on its side was smooth. Note – this is a heavy piece of equipment so be careful with it and yourself – feet, hands, etc. I put the gas in and followed the instructions for manual start from cold. It started on the second pull! The battery comes disconnected so there was enough life for push button start and remote start. Both worked as expected and without issue. I haven’t had to put it to operational use yet but I’m sure this monster will keep us powered when the need arises.

I bought this generator because when I lose power I usually lose it for several days at a time. It set up very easily, not much to it. I ran it solo several times using the remote start. Excellent. I had my electrician install a transfer switch with ten breakers on it. Once everything was hooked up we did several trial runs. I was able to run my boiler (heat, hot water) 2 refrigerators, 2 microwaves, 1 freezer, 15000 BTU A/C, 3 TV's, and 95% of the lights in my house (Not including outlets as well). No problem at all. I didn't even bog down or strain under the load. The electrician was impressed with it. As I said this was a trial run but it performed very well.

Just purchased a few weeks ago, but it runs like a champ so far. It started up right away on 1st try with electric start. Instructions were clear and setup was easy. Wish we would have had it earlier this year to avoid flooding in basement after losing power for a few days and the sump pump battery backups not working

I bought the Wgen9500 before a potential ice storm. I purchased this generator because it is large enough to handle most of my electrical needs if the power goes out. We did not loose power and therefore have not had an opportunity to use it. I was impressed that it came with a instruction manual, tools to assemble wheels, legs and oil for the engine. It was very easy to assemble and easy to start. It appears to be a well built unit.
