We bought this generator for the size capacity that it can have running off of it. We wanted something that was big enough to run most everything in house when/if we lose power. We have not officially needed to use as of yet however we do have it prepped and ready to go when the time comes.

We bought this for hurricane season in case of power outages or for friends visiting with RV's. It generates plenty of electricity to provide power to everything we want and then some. The electric start and the ability to turn it on and off remotely is great. The only downside I've seen so far are the cheap bearing used in the wheels. The bearing cover/seal on one of the wheels was off and laying in the box when I opened it. I snapped it back in place but don't have much hope of it staying that way because it doesn't snap in tightly.

purchased generator a week ago,its pretty quiet easy operation,back fired 1 time when starting up,wish there was no co2 sensor,believe its going to be a problem,i operate a food truck with close range space.seem like its well built,will know much better in the months to come.

This generator is a solid piece of equipment. I have another well know brand that I have used in several storms, hurricanes, thunderstorms and the deep freeze in Texas. I needed one that would power the entire house, and this one does the trick. Much quieter than my other one too. Nice piece of equipment!

I live in the Houston area and during hurricane season power goes out quite often when it rains hard. I purchased this generator on May 2022 and it works great. I have 2 AC units and I’m able to power one at a time plus all the downstairs of my house without any problems. I really like the remote start feature. I recommend this product 100% plus it is at a decent range price wise.

Every single step is pointed out .After making sure enough oil is in unit, I then pushed the remote key and the auto everything took off~! The auto choke kicks in and then it begins to start (make sure fuel switch is open) takes over restarting till away you go~!

After our recent power outage and finding my old generator was suffering from an engine failure, I was motivated to purchase a new generator. This unit was recommended by my step father for it's electric and remote start features. He has been impressed by it's power output and ease of use so without hesitation I purchased the same generator and quickly got it wired up. I now have peace of mind that if we are to lose power when I am at work my wife can quickly get it running at the push of a button and the flip of a switch!

Bought this generator a few days ago before a tornado hit the farm, I dug it out of rubble, put oil and gas and ran for a week while power was out. I gave the item five stars. Then I emailed company to ask about a manual and buy a new gas tank and frame. I got a snarky response saying none of it was covered under warranty. I guess they thought I believed the generator was covered from tornado damage lol. After giving five stars and a glowing review. I emailed back and told them that I was just looking to buy a manual at least. They are sending a manual for free but gave me a link that says nothing about Westinghouse parts. Tried going to Westinghouse website to see if I could talk to someone, good luck with that! It’s email only. A product is only as good as the people that stand behind it. I’d have to say I’m going from a five to one star, I still don’t know what I’m missing or what came with it. And apparently they don’t care what parts you use……

This generator looks pretty sweet. Only reason I didn’t put 5 stars is that I haven’t actually had my house hooked up to it yet and ran the house. Happy I came off the money to get it. It should do most in my house minus the A/C of course but that’s ok I can always get a window unit or stand alone if need be. It starts right up and runs good haven’t really had to put it heavy use yet but I’ve ran it several times for a while just for break in I guess. I’ve read people saying it’s loud but honestly I haven’t been around a generator that wasn’t loud, unless an inverter gen. I wouldn’t say it’s loud because it’s like every other generator I’ve been around but this one puts out more so I think that’s good. Wish we had a place that sold them because ordering from Amazon can always be iffy because the package was in terrible shape when it finally arrived to the house. Hopefully it’s a long lasting generator!

I bought the WGen9500 to replace an underpowered Generac.The 3,000 extra watt's will allow me to now power my water heater, in addition to the other home items this backup generator is meant for. The generator arrived well packaged and damage-free. Oil was fully drained, making it easier to attach the mounting feet. Total install time for feet and wheels was 10 minutes. Attaching the cables to the included battery was easy, although the positive cable needs to be looped slightly in order not to stick straight out from the generator. A short charge of the battery, adding the included oil and some gas and the generator was ready to start. The push-start is great (coming from manual, pull-only). Press and wait. The generator will go through it's start cycle, and within a few cranks the fuel was flowing and it was running clean and well throttled. Have run the generator for an hour and put it to the task of powering the home (through dedicated transfer switch) and the power was clean, generator ran smoothly under load. Very happy with this new purchase, feel comfortable with a 3-year warranty backing it (which I hope not to need). The included maintenance schedule will be useful and followed, so hoping for years of service (or not needing it) from this solidly built generator.
