I found this salmon to be very tender and flavorful. There was a $5 off promotion that made it even more affordable.

The salmon filet is too fresh, I made homemade sashimi. Great taste and it melts on your tongue. I'd say, it meets the sashimi grades.

Took this item home, then marinated overnight and smoked for about 5-6 hours, melted in your mouth good.

The salmon is always good when I do buy it which is about 2-4 times a month. Very easy to season it and bake in the oven, comes out great every time

I buy its generally by it to cut it up into 5-6 oz steaks. But I occasionally smoke an entire fillet. It's gloriously fatty and smokes better that other more expensive skin on salmon.

I have purchased Sam's salmon in all of it's iterations; frozen, sashimi grade (it's not), fresh with skin and fresh without skin. In my opinion, they are all subpar. To me they taste like a fish tank and not like fish from the ocean. My other observation is that they are all very lean, so a fillet goes from uncooked to tough in no time even when I choose the fattiest fillet they have. Sadly, I will not be purchasing salmon from Sam's anymore. I believe all of their salmon comes from Norway where they use lots of antibiotics there so that may have something to do with it. It's just not as good as salmon that comes from Chile.

I purchased this salmon at Sam's. I love salmon, but I don't like this salmon. It had a real strong odor as well as a strong fishy taste. I had Cook some of this previously and it was the same way this time. I put mine in lemon water to hopefully get rid of the smell and taste. It did not work. It made my husband sick and hopefully don't me. I've always heard that if fish has a strong smell and strong taste. It is not a fresh fish. I had to throw out part of it. I would not recommend this salmon to anyone. It is not good at all.
