Good Value - Norwegian Antibiotic Free Salmon

Glad you have an ocean penned, antibiotic free Salmon option that is reasonably priced. It was a little dry, but that could have just been my filet. Thicker, more fatty filets (meaning they were raised in deeper, colder water) would make me buy more. No dyes or artificial ingredients in feed. Thank you for offering this fish and other non-farmed options.

MEMBER'S MARK SALMON

When I visit SAM's club I always make sure that I look at Member's Mark first before I buy the other brand. My family and I loves the salmon fillet and the price is very reasonable considering it's salmon. There are a lot of ways I can prepare them as well, bake, grill, air fry, steam fry and so on. Just add salad or vegetable and it's already a full meal.

always been great!

i've read the bd reviews and i must say i have never had a bad salmon with bad smell; I've bought it several times and every time it's been delicious. I use a little bit of avocado oil in a frying pan and season it with lemon pepper seasoning and it's our favorite way to eat it

Succulent Salmon

I must say i was pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture of the salmon. Sometimes Frozen Salmon can be a lil tough but this was packaged extremely well and the salmon was tender and flaky like it was fresh from the stream. Well Played Sam's! Well Played!

Spoiled salmon but otherwise great checkout

It was rotten. It looked good when purchased, kept cold and got home and put in refrigerator immediately. Was purchased on Sept 1, cooked on Sept 4 and use by date of Sept 9th, 2022. When opened I thought the rotten smell was possibly the packaging so I cooked it. After tasting it was apparent it was the salmon and it tasted very, very rotten. I had my daughter taste just to make sure and she couldn’t make it past the smell. Would usually recommend because I’ve purchased before and it was wonderful. I must have just gotten a bad product that day.

A good buy

It's always fresh, the flesh has always been firm, I very rarely find bones, and it's priced well. The vacuum packaging keeps it fresh right through the expiration date, which allows for greater flexibility in meal planning - I don't have to buy it the same day I'm planning to use it.

Not sashimi grade and not as good.

We used to buy the skinless salmon that said sashimi grade and it was great - fantastic actually. We purchased this in 2023 and it was 'meh'. Then we noticed the package no longer says sashimi grade OR maybe Sams no longer carries what we used to buy there. 2nd chance trying this today and, well, it is okay. Tolerable. I would not order it again if at a restaurant.

Not as good as before

I had bought from Sams salmon because it was so fresh and tasty but lately the salmon have a bad odor and very bad taste, I season as always have, even add lemon for that smell but it won't work that smell overtake it. So I’m very disappointed with losing money that way. Sam owner or manager do something about it it's been months of the same thing, Look at the reviews and change the supplier.

Member Mark fresh fish

I buy a lot of salmon and I am retired USN so I know fish fairly well. Farm raised salmon is not as Red as the wild. And the taste is not quite as good as the wild. If you want a farm raised fish the Cat fish from the southern USA is about as good as it gets and would do good here in WV.

The best and the safest salmon

The only salmon I buy is the "antibiotic free sashimi grade" salmon at Sam's. This is because I am an informed consumer. According to my research, the best farmed salmon to buy is from Norway, due to the farming procedure they use. It is not an endearing thought to imagine all those fish swimming in their own effluvia, crammed in, eating it, and being dosed with antibiotics. Farmed Norway salmon uses open aquaculture. I wish I could buy the filets WITH skin (because I like the skin, as do my dogs!), but those are from a different country, so I don't buy. The other main competitor of Sam's does NOT sell this salmon. Salmon IS rather expensive, especially now. I recently paid $7.98 for this Norway salmon; now, the price is $11.98. I buy it more rarely, but when I need salmon, I have to buy this salmon from Sam's.
