I ordered a plain cake with layers of chocolate and white. I wanted a blank slate so I could decorate it for a bridal shower. It was very neat and had nice clean edges and wasn't wonky at all. It was the perfect canvas for the cake. The taste and texture of both layers was outstanding! It was moist and the perfect density! The icing was perfect as well - not grainy or too sweet. I got tons of compliments on both the taste and appearance that I wanted to take credit for baking it!

We were so pleased with our cake! We ordered a plain, white, 2 tiered cake for our wedding, and then just decorated it with a cake topper, and some cake topper flowers and garland from Etsy for decoration. First of all the cake is so delicious! It was soft and moist and tasted so good. You would never be able to guess it wasn’t from an expensive bakery. I would definitely order again and recommend anyone looking for a more affordable option for their wedding!

Simple, elegant, affordable, AND delicious! Bought for a wedding cake and added flowers. It was beautiful and tasted great! The only downside is that it was not enough for a wedding of 125 people! When I researched and had planned this in March 2024, there was a 3 tiered offering. Unfortunately, they discontinued the 3 tiered cake and only offer a 2 tier option now. Please bring back the 3 tier for reunion and wedding events. Thank you!

The cake was good but had a lot of frosting and could see where the 2 layers were stacked. The only thing we had them do was a shell boarder, we had our own decorations to put on it and they did a good job on that. Over all we were happy with the cake just would have liked to not have the fold in the center.

It was just what we ordered. A plain white frosting cake, double layered. Such a great price for the cake. We decorated it with our own pieces and it came out beautifully. Only downside is that the buttercream was way too sweet for our liking, but other than that we loved the cake

I recently ordered a two-tiered cake for my daughter’s 13th birthday. The cake ultimately turned out beautiful, but the process of ordering it deserves one star. After driving to my local Sam’s Club to order her cake, I was informed that I could no longer order my cake in person and needed to order it online, which was frustrating but doable. From home, I quickly discovered that it was almost impossible to customize my cake given the available ordering parameters. I proceeded to call my local Sam’s Club and explain how there was no room on their site to write a description of what I wanted. The very polite lady suggested that I try to abbreviate my description and, hopefully, someone would call me for further directions, which I attempted to do. Still, there was only about five words worth of space to write a description for the colors, the wording, and the word call me. In the end, I took a gamble, and it turned out beautiful. The process was beyond frustrating. I understand streamlining your ordering process to make things easier, but please don't make the process this difficult. It took me over an hour to order a birthday cake with the drive, the multiple calls, and my attempts to abbreviate my wording in a way that was hopefully understandable. Please make your ordering system more user-friendly.

This is the 2nd 2 -tired cake I have purchased recently, Sept 6th and this one. I purchased both for weddings as I didn’t have time to make them myself. ( I’ve done this is the past and was very happy with the cakes! ) however the last 2 cakes were disappointing. Neither of the cakes had smooth icing. They looked like the icing had be put on in a really big hurry. Because I purchased these for weddings I was not happy with the looks. Even after I added the flowers you could still see the very sloppy icing. I was happy with the taste of both cakes.

If I could give this no stars I would. This was the worst looking cake I’ve ever seen. The icing was an absolute mess, and the top tier was literally so crooked that anyone would think it was falling off! Plus, don’t be fooled with the nice neat picture when you order. The tops were domed so bad. The picture shows nice clean level tops. What I received was absolute trash. Also, hate that you can’t even order a cake in store, it has to be online. Never again.

Placing the order online was terrible. You cannot customize your order exactly the way you want. So u have to put it in the note area. The note area only allows you to enter a limited amount of words. I put what i could in the notes. They clearly read it because when arriving to pick up the cake i was told they didn't have lavender so they used purple. Mind you that was apart of the directions. I ended up with an all purple two tiered cake with a border and no other decorations which wasn't selected. The cake was for a birthday party for the following day. Thank God I knew how to decorate or I would've needed to purchase another cake. I will never order another cake from Sam's in the future if the ordering process is online. I'm really disappointed.

They messed up my daughter’s 13th birthday cake. Gave us a white icing when it clearly stated purple icing. Even the worker noticed it was all messed up. They wouldn’t fix it and wouldn’t give me my money back. So my daughter had to have a messed up cake for her 13th birthday.
