I went in the store to place my order for a retirement themed cake. I didn't feel as if my vision would be brought to life the way that I wanted it to be. The baker Assured me that I will be satisfied. When I picked up the cake and saw how she worked on it, I was more than happy! It was beautiful and beyond what I thought it could be! Great job for a great price!

I ordered a plain 2-tier cake that I planned to decorate myself. Cake was delicious but there was a major fail in the frosting. Frosting on top was not smooth all over and when I questioned it, the staff member said that's how it comes out when there's no decoration. Not true! With or without decorations, frosting can be smoothed out. Also I could see the plate between the 2 layers because it wasn't covered completely by the frosting. Fortunately I was able to cover it with my decorations. I've ordered this cake before and it was perfectly frosted, making it easy to decorate. This time I had to decorate to fix and cover up.

Cake was good! It was a lot bigger than i was expecting. I decorated it myself since it was for a party but it was done well. However, the pickup experience was horrible. I ordered weeks in advance and it never said ready or even in progress. I had to call to verify it was going to be ready in time, luckily i had ordered a day in advance. After calling the bakery 5 times, no one answered. I had to call customer setvice THREE times just to verify. When they told me it was ready i went to pickup and there was NO ONE in bakery. I had to flag down an employee and luckily they worked in the bakery.. it shouldn’t be that difficult.

It was just what we ordered. A plain white frosting cake, double layered. Such a great price for the cake. We decorated it with our own pieces and it came out beautifully. Only downside is that the buttercream was way too sweet for our liking, but other than that we loved the cake

I purchased this cake for my parents 50th wedding anniversary party. It turned out so pretty! The cake was fresh and tasted very good. The only issue is you can only order online and the options are limited to how you can decorate. Luckily, I wanted simple colors. So white with gold glitter was perfect for us.

The cake was good but had a lot of frosting and could see where the 2 layers were stacked. The only thing we had them do was a shell boarder, we had our own decorations to put on it and they did a good job on that. Over all we were happy with the cake just would have liked to not have the fold in the center.

Since you are only able to place orders online now, the process is so much more complicated. The cake I ordered was not correct. Somehow the questions asked on the order form do not match the info on the cake instructions. I ended up getting a whole pink iced cake when I only needed the borders pink.

They messed up my daughter’s 13th birthday cake. Gave us a white icing when it clearly stated purple icing. Even the worker noticed it was all messed up. They wouldn’t fix it and wouldn’t give me my money back. So my daughter had to have a messed up cake for her 13th birthday.

This cake was my cake for my wedding. I didn’t receive the cake as pictured above because I was told by the manager that they didn’t have the packaging. I was told that someone tried to call me, but I never received a call. Also, I was still charged the full price of a two-tier cake even though I received a sheet cake.

The online ordering for cakes should be improved. If I order a custom cake I expect for me to see the customizations chosen before I pick up the cake. It was easier to order from the sheet of paper. At least with the paper I had options. The cake choices are very limited. Since the cakes are decorated in store I should be able to choose my colors, flavors, and decor. The one star is because the cake tastes good. I have been ordering Sam’s cakes for over 20 years. They are the best tasting cakes; however, the ordering process needs to be improved immensely. The cake did not look as expected and I was extremely disappointed. The fact that a different customer picking up a sheet cake had the same complaint as I did shows there is an issue with the ordering system. As a paying customer I should be able to SEE what I am ordering.
