Good Upgrade!

I upgraded from an original Xbox One and this has far exceeded my expectations! If you’re looking for next gen and don’t want to spend big $$ on an Xbox Series X then this is your answer. The only downside would be the storage but that shouldn’t hold you back on this console.

Just received and had issues after a couple hours

I’ve had trouble with it after updating the Series S and playing a couple games of Apex. Then it over heated because it wasn’t exposed enough. Now it’s staying on after I switched to a older HDMI cable. I really hope this isn’t going to be a issue. Any idea of what could made it restart like that.

Hi there--We're sorry there was an issue with your Xbox Series S. If it seems to be overheating, we recommend making sure that it's placed in well-ventilated spot with 2-4 inches of clearance around it and that its vents are unobstructed. If that doesn't help, please reach out to Xbox Support for assistance: https://support.xbox.com -Chuck, Xbox Customer Care

My opinion about Xbox Series S

It's good but it blocks some of my club made stuff and always says you have to play a lot of games just so you can top up reward points. And that is another issue. The reward is very slow. It only gives you the points if you play compatible Game Pass games. So its hefty on your wallet. If you are the type that likes to play everything this may be your answer.

Xbox series s is Fantastic!

Ive been playing on the OG Xbox one since release and after getting the Xbox series S, Ive noticed a huge difference. Graphics are better, performance is way better, and the FPS makes the game look buttery smooth compared to what I was use to playing on. I would highly recommend the series s if youre having trouble finding a series x. Ive decided to get the series s now until the series x becomes readily available in stores.

Pretty good

Very nice looking box. I haven't actually opened it yet it's been about 2wks. I'm prob going to open in 2 days since nobody wants to buy it for $425 off me. Only thing I hate is buying overpriced digital games from Microsoft. Physical copy of Yakuza like a dragon $35 for Xbox... digital copy $60. If I buy 10 digital games I prob overpay by $200 so might as well buy series X. Ok fine I'm gonna return it to Walmart by typing this review I talked myself outta keeping it

One X downgrade

Fast load times, quick resume, its quite, that's all true but if you're coming from a one x you will be playing the one S version of games that are not optimized and you will notice the downgrade. a lot of games won't have ray tracing when the series x does. just wait for series x or ps5 worth the extra money

it performs worse than my 7 year old xbox 1

sorry for it being so long; recently, my 7-year-old Xbox was having problems playing fallout, which was understandable, and I just got the new box S to hopefully fix the problems of the game crashing once in a while, it did not. It has gotten so much worse, how is a brand new console with better specs going to perform worse than my 7-year-old console? every single time I load up fallout and get in combat, it freezes and stops working. And in watchdogs which I never had had a problem before it froze up on me as well! I was hoping it was because I was downloading some games while I was playing (which should still not be a problem in my opinion) but even after nothing should have stood in the way of me having a great experience with my brand new series S, it still crashes every single time, which is much more frequently than my original box one.

Xbox is hope you improve your quality

Go back to the original box one Im thinking I promise you the original series did not have the early staged problems Ive owned the series s for less than a week now and havent been able to get a full 3 hours of game time cause it either freezes looses audio so my question is after youve done everything the Xbox support copy and pasted then what do you do next hook up your old Xbox from 2013 you never froze or lost audio Xbox is pathetic for this I hate to say it and this is a known problem in the series s and x so from one consumer to another save up for a ps5 or pc cause Xbox is just not it this year its kinda annoying how an Xbox thats 8 years old does better with less equipment but then I buy this quote on quote great series s and it gives me more problems with my console then I had in the last 8 years so its very frustrating and honestly I would take a full refund
