This console is a tiny beast of a machine. Don't let the small amount of storage discourage you from getting this if you buy games digitally, as you can store games on an external drive. You can store Series S/X enhanced titles on the external drive and then move it over to the internal SSD when ready to play the game. Another pro about the Series S is if the game is not a title that has the Series S/X patch on it, then you can play the game from the external drive, so if you had ones for your older Xbox One system, you can just use that with no need to format it if it was already formatted for Xbox and has games on it. If you do have to transfer a Series S/X game to the built-in SSD, or have to move it off the internal SSD to make room for a new game, it takes about a minute per 10GB to move content between storage mediums, so you can download once and then just worry about where the game is stored afterwards. Microsoft did a great job just making this an updated console, versus a brand new one with a new OS, so you don't have to learn new features, or worry about having to redownload a game again. Yes having new features is cool, but sometimes the simplicity of being able to plug in my old external drive into the console and having my game library that was downloaded onto it ready to go and being able to play the games is a major plus. Lets talk about the cooling and noise of the system. The system is really quiet and have yet to hear the fan at all, and you will feel warmth from the exhaust fan area, but nothing that would make you concerned and feels like the temp of a warm shower. If you can't find the Series X, and this is available, unless you absolutely need the disc drive, this will do what you need it to do, and saves you some $.

All in all, the Series S is a GREAT entry level console! No, it doesn't support 4K gaming, but the 1440P resolution looks very good on my 60Hz TV and the load times are MUCH faster. I have several Xbox One games installed on an external SSD, and the load times are very quick for the non optimized games as well!

Came early than expected and decent package.. Great starter system.. if your a ps fan and can't get your hands on one right now try this system it is very good and with the game pass you don't need to buy games really you've access to around 350 games.. Great deal can't go wrong..

I was skeptical about ordering from this retailer but everything is here and is working great! And it also came early! To anyone else that might find this review in the future, everything is great the process was simple and easy and advertised as truthfully! I recommend personally. Pros: Great price for a powerful system! Got this as a gift for my mom very small and compact. The setup was super easy with the Xbox app and Gamepass means she has a wide variety of games to choose from. She started with Tetris and now is addicted to Minecraft (was kinda surprised she would be into a first person game). I can't recommend this enough as a good buy and a great way for families to game especially with Gamepass. Also the fact that you can stream games from Your Xbox to your Phone is a major plus. I do recommend the Razer Kishi controller attachment for your games but it essentially turns your phone into a switch as less than half the price (buy getting the Kishi) Cons: Not as much memory as the Xbox series X

I bought it as a gift for my son. I couldnt get any of the other systems, so I got this system. Im giving it a 4/5 only because I know I will need to buy memory soon. Other than that, its a pretty good system and very small compared to Other systems.

DO NOT BUY this Xbox already came with fan issues and I bought it NEW!!!, before I even considered buying this I looked at the reviews and it was unsurprisingly mixed with 1's and 5's but I believed this company wouldn't do something so scummy take it from me don't buy from them or anyone on Walmart online that is NOT an official company they WILL SCAM YOU

The gaming unit worked however the controller that came with it did not and we had to purchase another. We had an old controller that we tried first to make sure the game system even worked.

All my life I was PC guy. But my old one can't handle new games anymore and it's impossible to build or buy one without paying outrageous money. I have read that now consoles support keyboard and mouse to play games that's why I thought the console would be a good substitute for PC. But that is a lie. It seems that very few games support mouse and keyboard. There're adapters out there to use with unsupported games. From reading other people experience there're way too many problems with them. Not worth wasting time. I am not just stubbornly hate controllers but few years ago I injured my left thumb and now it doesn't work 100%. So I guess I goanna have to wait until PC prices becomes reasonable again. And by the way Microsoft did really bad job explaining the situation with mouse/ keyboard computability with x box.

1 bought 4 for my grandchildren. the problem is 3 do not have any games the 4th one has a game. Problem who gets the 3 with no game and who gets 4thth. i dont have favorites with all the things in the past.and not ever choosing favorites. Yes I'm sure the one that gets the games will share with the three others. Guess I give them and hope that no one gets upset. Got it the oldest will get the games and all will hopefully all will be good. I am probably wrong about them and they all have games.
