Amazing

The console was shipped and delivered three days earlier than expected and was in a brand new condition. The box was dirty because UPS did not tape the shipping box correctly but other than that it had no issues. The console itself you can tell has never been used, and the overall experience with this seller has been great.

Great Performance at a Great Price.

Honestly this console is great. It has really good performance for the price range. It loads up games like GTA Online way faster than the xbox one s. The only down side is space, as 512 GB is not nearly enough space for games these days. And the internal storage expansion is pretty pricey at $200. But if you dont want to pay the $900 that everyone is asking for the Series X, this is the console for you.

Hey Nathan--We're glad that you're enjoying your new Xbox Series S. If you're running low on storage, you have a couple of options. The best solution is to invest in the Seagate SSD 1TB Expansion Card for Xbox Series X/S, which will add 1TB of SSD storage to your console. Another solution is to add a standard external hard drive, which can be used to store and play Xbox 360 and Xbox One games that have not been enhanced for Xbox Series X/S. -Chuck, Xbox Customer Care

A Series Value

I was lucky and randomly found the Xbox Series S online at Walmart one day after I was looking for ( Still am ) a series X, I would like the disk drive for my movie collection and used game’s but I still wanted something with the fast load times and the quick resume because the systems are hard to find at face value so I jumped on the S. Had it for over a month now and I’m happy the controller is a great design like the classic Xbox controllers and they have a few updates. The internet speeds seem to be more stable and faster with a smooth UI. It’s super small you’ll be able to place it anywhere and Game Pass for a monthly fee seems to be really worth it and you’ll get to maybe enjoy a game you would never had paid for! It could use use more memory it’s around 380gb useable after the system is set up so that’s a nice collection of game’s depending on size. If you just want to play game’s casually and have no use for a disk drive and you can stream video’s, use app’s, make friends and want the fancy pants system of the new age then get this system it’s worth it at not even 320$ USD after tax. Thanks Walmart <3

Love It

I've always been a PlayStation guy. but usually have an Xbox also. Got lucky and found one in store nearby. I love it. Nice and small. About half the size of my old Xbox One S. Graphics are phenomenal. You really can't beat it for $300. I was also able to use my Seagate 4tb external HDD with it and have all my old One S games saved on it, so the internal HDD of the system isn't too full

Am entry level PC at this point

Amazing what this thing can do. Needs more Series S/X optimized games though. It feels more awake than any console in the past. Menus are quick well optimized games load ridiculously fast, frame rate and resolution are fantastic. 1440p upscaled with my LG 4K TV looks almost like 4K on the One X, which the Series S is replacing. It’s dumb fast, I’m sure the Series X is just that much better. Since I cant build a new PC thanks to the shortages, -everyone already knows how hard this is to get- this will have to do since the games I play with friends are cross platform anyway. This begins to level the playing field as the performance limits on cross platform games usually is too taxing on consoles and takes away from overall playability compared so someone on PC. I only wish I could have got the Series X, but those are even harder to catch than an S.

Pretty good

Very nice looking box. I haven't actually opened it yet it's been about 2wks. I'm prob going to open in 2 days since nobody wants to buy it for $425 off me. Only thing I hate is buying overpriced digital games from Microsoft. Physical copy of Yakuza like a dragon $35 for Xbox... digital copy $60. If I buy 10 digital games I prob overpay by $200 so might as well buy series X. Ok fine I'm gonna return it to Walmart by typing this review I talked myself outta keeping it

An Equal of the PS5 and XSX, just lesser graphics.

It's a solid piece of hardware that is $100-200 cheaper than any other next-gen console available. It is better than the Xbox one x, yet not quite as powerful as the series x. It plays next-gen as well as previous-gen games with perfect performance, the only real difference between this console and the PS5 or XSX in most games is the image quality, yet the XSS image quality still looks very good. My only real complaint is that the controller can be a bit of a hassle to clean sometimes, and I've experienced a couple of crashes while playing some Xbox one games, but that might just be software issues.

This console is soooo slow its ridiculous the time it takes to download ONE game. Kid you not took a whole 24hours. Will not be recommending this. I only purchased because i didnt want somthing with too much memory because im hardly ever off to play. However, I spent my whole off day waiting for it to load and still did not get to enjoy it. I alsoctried allcthe hacks online to get it to go faster and nothing worked.

Go back to the original box one Im thinking I promise you the original series did not have the early staged problems Ive owned the series s for less than a week now and havent been able to get a full 3 hours of game time cause it either freezes looses audio so my question is after youve done everything the Xbox support copy and pasted then what do you do next hook up your old Xbox from 2013 you never froze or lost audio Xbox is pathetic for this I hate to say it and this is a known problem in the series s and x so from one consumer to another save up for a ps5 or pc cause Xbox is just not it this year its kinda annoying how an Xbox thats 8 years old does better with less equipment but then I buy this quote on quote great series s and it gives me more problems with my console then I had in the last 8 years so its very frustrating and honestly I would take a full refund
