The Series S is a nice compact system that offers a "budget" option into the next-gen gaming market. The graphics quality is acceptable at 1080p and it has great load times, but the internal storage can only handle 4-5 average sized games. External hard drives are a must have for storing some Xbox 360 and Xbox One games, but anything that has already been optimized for X/S (including popular Xbox One era games such as Forza 4, Fortnite and Halo:MCC) will have to be installed and run on the very limited internal storage. I had expected to have to install and juggle the next-gen Series X/S games on the limited internal 360GB usable storage, but the requirement to also run so many last gen games from internal storage was unexpected and I'm finding it hardly manageable. I'd give this console 5 stars if it shipped with a 1TB internal drive. As-is, 364GB usable is a joke.

Ignore the people saying ps5 is better, or that the console is garbage, or even a budget console, this thing is a BEAST I've had it for less than 2 hours and I'm loving it. 299 is an ABSOLUTE STEAL for this value, I cant run 120fps because I dont have a 120hz display, but i can run at quality mode since I'm not sacrificing anything. This is the MOST AWESOME THING IVE EVER BOUGHT, if you're thinking about buying this or the series X, the series s is amazing for you if you dont have a 4k 144hz tv or monitor, def get series x if you have a 4k 144hz monitor or tv. Other than all that, amazing purchase, 11/10 would reccomend.

I really enjoy the console and was able to bring games from my External hard drive to the console from xbox one with ease. don't listen to the guys who say "PS5 is better" or those who gave 1 stars before it even released. Buy the console you want and one that you'd prefer.

This past year has brought many surprises and the sheer amount of fun I've had with the Series S has definitely been one of them. I abstained from owning an Xbox console last generation, having owned all iterations of the PS4. Unable to attain a PS5 during launch, I opted to give Xbox another go and was able to land a Series S. The first thing I noticed was how small the console is, even in comparison to the PS4 slim. Setup was easy enough, though setup requires the utilization of a mobile device and the Xbox app. Once everything was setup, the first thing I wanted to test was performance with Apex Legends. Apex Legends is a great cross generation test. Given its size, I wasn't sure it would handle the game as well as the PS4 Pro. I was wrong. Not only did the console keep pace with Frames Per Second (FPS) with the PS4 Pro, but it remained quiet and cool throughout my gaming sessions. Access to Gamepass Ultimate is HUGE. It's been a tremendous amount of fun to play games from the Xbox 360 generation again and have access to and play games from the previous Xbox generation. Having reached the end of Netflix and every other streaming service, this has been a breath of fresh air and an absolute blast. We tested out Gears of War 1 - 3, Forza Horizon 4, Doom Eternal and more. Having access to this service alone makes owning at least the Series S a must. Nextgen titles like Watchdogs Legion, Immortal Phoenix Rising,

Delivery Box came damaged at the corner but the Xbox box inside was fine the console itself is slow to start up sometimes it takes like2-3 mins just to turn on to the dashboard so annoying top it off it just cut offs the game and goes to dashboard sometimes during gameplay

It's good but it blocks some of my club made stuff and always says you have to play a lot of games just so you can top up reward points. And that is another issue. The reward is very slow. It only gives you the points if you play compatible Game Pass games. So its hefty on your wallet. If you are the type that likes to play everything this may be your answer.

I just received it today and when I downloaded Cold War, it wouldn't play. I googled how to fix it and a million other Series S users are having the same problem. The system is trash. Do not buy it. I don't usually play Xbox but I gave it a chance when I couldn't get a ps5. I regret buying this. I plan on returning it for a refund.

Fantastic console! Easy to setup and if you are upgrading from a previous gen console, your Microsoft account is your best friend and helps you jump back in right where you left off with next generation performance. This console is perfect for perfect for both causal gamers and competitive gamers alike. Controller is easier to get a good grip on and the D-Pad is much better. The console itself is super small and easy to fit in pretty much any space, super practical!!

This was a birthday present for my fiancé and he yelled out of surprise and excitement and then he teared up quite a bit. The console came in excellent condition and we had it set up and going within minutes. It’s difficult to get any time on it myself because of how thoroughly he loves this console. Amazing purchase well worth the money. I would recommend buying new, the horror stories about buying used ones are awful and not worth the risk to save not much money. (We don’t have a ton of disposable income but I guarantee that it will be less expensive and time consuming to just buy new, Walmart had the best price at the time of my ordering). So very very satisfied!

I understand that it says console only but it would be great to add the power cords and the basics you need to operate it in the box I was disappointed when I opened the box to just see the system looking back at me I had switched from PlayStation to this console and was disappointed that it didn’t have a controller luckily I had a power cord to fit it but pls add these necessities to the box for future consumers
