[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve heard good things about the gel form of biofreeze, so I was very excited to try the roll-on. I have dealt with sciatica for about ten years, so this came at the right time, being that I was in the middle of having a flare-up. As I rolled it over the area of my lower back, the cooling sensation was the first thing I noticed. After about five minutes the area started to become a bit numb, but I was still able to feel the stabbing pain from my sciatic nerve. In summary it’s ok for mild to moderate pain symptoms.

It sort of freezes the area and isolates it and helps make it tolerable for me. Have used it a few times and has worked well each time so I am glad to have gotten this.

In the throes of a migraine, it doesn’t do anything, but I have taken it when I first feel one coming on, and it does help to lessen the pain. It doesn’t fully take it away, but even a little relief is nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using ice packs for ages with my muscles whenever they flame up, get sore, etc. This pain relief roller has changed the game for me, the wonderful cooling sensation takes the pain right away from my arms (where I use it the most) and provide a more relaxed, easy to maneuver with feel. My old ice packs immobilized me & I would constantly have to hold them. Fantastic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very mild smelling gel that applies smoothly, with a fine layer of ointment from a roller ball. Love these types of applicators. You don't have to put on gloves. Nor will your hands stink! The gel itself is not too long lasting - maybe an hour or so. It does do the job. It brings about a very cool feeling to the area, which tricks your nerves into dulling the sensation of pain, similar to an actual ice pack. I kind of like that it does not stay with you for several hours. The smell, while not too overbearing, can get on your clothes and last a little while. I have used it both, at the end of the day, or about an hour before I am going to shower up. That way, whatever residue is on me, is not on me in public. The main active ingredient is menthol. I have used it on my chest and on my forearm. Worked just fine for my needs.

I bought my first roll-on after an ankle injury and have never looked back. Biofreeze is so easy to use and provides a quick topical relief that lasts a long time. I find it especially helpful before going to sleep when I would ordinarily notice the pain more intensely.
