[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the gel type of Biofreeze before and was curious to try out the roll on version. It has the same great pain relieving benefits just without the mess of the product getting on your fingers. However you don't really see the product coming out on the roll on so it's hard to know how much you're putting on.

She found it more effective than I and perhaps it is because it soothes muscles more than back issues, which could be more nerve related. The cooling feature is very potent but for my back issues, it was more of a distracting sensation rather than a soothing one. Again, this could be a result of not being an appropriate product for nerve issues like sciatica and more for soothing sore muscles, which would be why my wife found it to ease her pain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product that offers pretty quick relief to minor aches. Rollerball seemed to get stuck now and then but became unstuck quickly and on its own. The scent is not horrible but lingers a bit too long. I will purchase this product when needed.

Its easy to reach my back with as well as my knee which is nice when you don’t have someone around at the time to help you apply it. The medication is a cooling menthol, so you get a cool breeze like feeling while it works. I like that with the roll on you don’t have to get it all over you hands and are able to apply it directly where you need with no mess. It does have a medicated menthol scent that lingers on to your skin when you use it. I did find for me that I got relief from pain quickly while using it and I do plan to continue to use this product. I found it to be great quality, and it helped my pain. You don’t get a greasy feeling when you use this on your skin which is also a nice pro for the product.

I have chronic knee and back pain due to multiple dislocations and a bulging disc respectively, and after nearly ten years of dealing with it, the old standbys — heat, ice, ibuprofen, etc. — just don’t cut it anymore. The Biofreeze was phenomenal. It rolls on smoothly and immediately starts to cool, and within a minute or two, the muscle and skin are pleasantly tingly and pain-free. I also love the way it smells; my sinuses are constantly messed up, but one whiff of this stuff, and suddenly I could breathe through my nose again. I will DEFINITELY be buying this again.

I continued to use it on my knees and hips for minor arthritis pain. I started out using the tube form and applying it by hand. Then I discovered the roll-on form a while back! I LOVE it. No mess. Which is a big plus. But the ball in the roll on form also works great for really rubbing it in to my achy joints. It's like giving yourself a little massage and applying the pain relief all at the same time. Feels wonderful! Awesome product!
