Sweet instead of tart!

Love the golden kiwis as they do not have the tartness of a traditional kiwi. Their flavor is almost like honey. I enjoy these any time of the day. I cut in half and scoop out with a spoon as part of my breakfast, or as a snack. My grandchildren love them too.

Delicious golden kiwis

Affordable and good quality and quantity offered for golden kiwis. Same brand you could buy at any local supermarket. I like that we can purchase this through drive up/pick up order, which is much safer than going inside the club during COVID-19 pandemic. Definitely recommend.

Expired Fruit

Purchased 2 containers of these kiwi and they didn't even make it a whole week. The fruit was mushy to the touch within 3 days and rotted on the inside. I had previously bought them two weeks prior and they were great. I guess when I went back the ones I picked up were from the same shipment, hence the rotting. Management should really monitor the expiration dates. At $8+ a container I expected a better quality.

These are the best!

Wish these were in stock all year round but I guess that's not possible due to seasonality. At first I thought there couldn't possibly be a difference by buying a "name brand" kiwi fruit. But Zespri is hands down the best - especially the gold kiwi. I eat a lot of kiwi because it's good for digestive issues but I have learned to just skip it when Zespri isn't available. Other brand green kiwis often are rock hard and sour and never soften/ripen even when left out for days and end up getting thrown away.

A staple now

I have never liked Kiwis, so I took a chance to try golden Kiwis. They are tasty! I eat one a day to help eliminate the bad fat in my system. They are easy to cut open, and I scoop the meat with a spoon. It is very easy to separate the fruit from the skin. My local stores don't have these, so I always purchase them at Sam's.

Something is wrong

I have been buying these for months and they have always been delicious. This last batch, though they felt ripe, were green inside and tangy. I let the sit for a week and they were still the same. I couldn't eat them by themselves, so they ended up going in smooties.

If you like the green one you HAVE to try these

What a surprise! Had never had the gold ones before. I love the green ones but was really surprised how ‘fruitful’ these tasted, delish! Also I didn’t realize how nutritious they are. Believe it or not the skin holds a significant amount of vitamins as well. On our shopping list every week now.

Be careful….

I LOVE this brand of golden kiwis, HOWEVER, lately they have NOT been any good. They were hard as rocks and before they would ripen they started rotting??!!! Perhaps they were frozen by accident, or not properly handled? We through away a lot and finally decided to return to the store, which was luckily not a problem. I took photos, too. Soooo disappointing, as they are delicious, otherwise.

Good as long as they aren't over-ripe

These are very good when they are at the optimum ripeness, but it is difficult to tell from the outside. Under-ripe and they are hard and tart, but that is not a huge problem because they will ripen to juicy sweetness; over-ripe, however, and they go bad very quickly, becoming mushy and gross. There is very little difference in appearance to help you choose. Beware!

Check before you leave the store

This product tastes great. The real drawback for me was an extremely short shelf life. I bought them a second time and had similar luck. I don’t know if it was just my Sams or the fruit. This is not typical of my Sam’s Club produce so I’m leaning toward the fruit.
