Yellow kiwi

I was disappointed in this product. I usually buy these but this time they were not very good. Normally they are really good. Hopefully the next time they will be better. Maybe in the summer they will be better. Not sure I would recommend these at this time.

These are the best!

Wish these were in stock all year round but I guess that's not possible due to seasonality. At first I thought there couldn't possibly be a difference by buying a "name brand" kiwi fruit. But Zespri is hands down the best - especially the gold kiwi. I eat a lot of kiwi because it's good for digestive issues but I have learned to just skip it when Zespri isn't available. Other brand green kiwis often are rock hard and sour and never soften/ripen even when left out for days and end up getting thrown away.

I tried gold but still prefer green . .

I wasn't even aware kiwifruit was available in gold until I saw them at Sam's Club. I've always liked the green ones, but I was willing to try Sungold, even though they were a little more expensive. The outer peel of the Sungold Kiwifruit was less "hairy", so I thought I might be able to skip the need for peeling or "scooping out" with a spoon. To be honest, I didn't taste that much of a difference - maybe a little more bland than the green variety, and not near as pretty to look at. Eating the peel is a no-go for me on both varieties. If someone wants a variety of color on a fancy fruit plate, then I can recommend buying both varieties, but other than that, I prefer the taste and color of the original green kiwi fruit.

Won’t affect your INR

Great for those who are warfarin. The regular kiwis affect your blood as blood thinners. Vitamin K. There is more in the green kiwis than there is in the Golden Kiwis. They don’t affect my INR/Protime. I actually love them better. Put them in cottage cheese or yogurt. Enjoy!

Bad taste.

This is not a normal golden kiwi that I used to buy. It doesn't taste good. It takes too long to ripe (more than a month) and I checked them daily. When it was ripen, it was too mushy. I noticed these kiwis are imported from Greece, not from Italy or New Zealand as it used to be. Will pay attention for the next purchase.

If you like the green one you HAVE to try these

What a surprise! Had never had the gold ones before. I love the green ones but was really surprised how ‘fruitful’ these tasted, delish! Also I didn’t realize how nutritious they are. Believe it or not the skin holds a significant amount of vitamins as well. On our shopping list every week now.

Delicious golden kiwis

Affordable and good quality and quantity offered for golden kiwis. Same brand you could buy at any local supermarket. I like that we can purchase this through drive up/pick up order, which is much safer than going inside the club during COVID-19 pandemic. Definitely recommend.

Be careful….

I LOVE this brand of golden kiwis, HOWEVER, lately they have NOT been any good. They were hard as rocks and before they would ripen they started rotting??!!! Perhaps they were frozen by accident, or not properly handled? We through away a lot and finally decided to return to the store, which was luckily not a problem. I took photos, too. Soooo disappointing, as they are delicious, otherwise.

A staple now

I have never liked Kiwis, so I took a chance to try golden Kiwis. They are tasty! I eat one a day to help eliminate the bad fat in my system. They are easy to cut open, and I scoop the meat with a spoon. It is very easy to separate the fruit from the skin. My local stores don't have these, so I always purchase them at Sam's.

Hit or miss

Hit or miss. Bought two containers. Half of the first one had blotches on the kiwis which yiu cant tell from the outsider. They tasted bad. Thought of returning them, then had one that was good and really sweet. So we kept on trying and hope not to get another bad. In the end, about half of one box was bad. Maybe due to inappropriate storage? So not recommended this time.
