Excellent Tires - would purchase again

I bought these to replace the OEM dunlop tires on my 2017 Land Cruiser in 285/65r18, glad i did. Much better than the factory tires with slightly more aggressive A/T tread pattern. Great in rainy and dry weather and should last longer. Road noise is minimal, comparable to OEM.

Mileage

I purchased a set of LTX AT Tires for my 2000 Silverado in 2002. These were advertised as 80,000 mile tires. Best tire I have ever purchased. Performance and tread wear was incredible. After rotating them every 5000 miles. Believe it or not I got 120,000 miles and 8 years from the tires before I needed new ones. Needless to say I purchased another set for the same truck. These are LTX AT2. Good tire but I do not seem to be getting the miles from these. Can you tell me why this is?

Great so far!

Since Oct 12 (3 months now), I've run these things in heavy rain on highways, slick (and rather deep) mud on river boat 'launch' areas, and in heavy snow in the mountains (where I live) with no major slippage issues. Great control and smooth, quiet ride. Very pleased.

nice tread design!

I love these tires! I was in heavy rain and stop and go traffic and not once did I lose traction when taking off. My bf goodrich all terrain tires would spin every time! These Michelin tires are quiet and very smooth riding. My bfg tires would vibrate and shake at around 70 mph. These michelin tires at 85-90 mph there is no vibration/ shaking at all! I think I will be buying these Michelin tires from now on! Love them!

I run these tires on all ...

I run these tires on all of my trucks now. They give the best mileage, ride and handling of any tire I've tried with the exception of Michelins' M/S line but, these give better traction off-road. I tried another companies tires when my tire dealer recommended their commercial line. The tread looked similar and they were a little cheaper so I gave them a try. Huge mistake. They handled terrible as my truck would weave all over the highway while driving and at 10,000 miles of highway driving they were over half way worn. (I get over 60,000 miles out of these in the same conditions before I replace.) I'll never do that again.

I do a lot of hiway ...

I do a lot of hiway driving and also use my rig for off-road hunting trips. I have used Michelin tires for many years and I find the LTX an excellent tire for both uses. I feel safe driving on them and charish the safety of them while driving my grandchildren around Montana and Washington; where weather can change without a moment's notice.

NOT an all terrain tire.

This tire is by no means an all terrain tire. It is little more than an aggressive highway tire. It came on a truck I bought; otherwise I would have never bought this for occasional off-roading. Also the shoulder lugs have a step that runs around each side of the tire that traps dirt, mud, and water in the middle. And when the tire is 50% worn it will be slick. This is a very poor design for an all terrain tire.

I would buy this product again

I have been running a set of LTX A/T's on a Dodge 3500 for the last three years. I just replaced them with a new set of LTX AT2's after 69,000 miles. They didn't owe me anything when they came off the truck. I have been very pleased with the performance of these tires on all road conditions. I expect the same performance from the new set.

This is the best A/T type ...

This is the best A/T type tire that I've seen! Based on the current mileage on these tires (about 30,000) it looks like they will easily make it to 70 or 80k. About the only thing I can say negative is they are only about average on ice. Otherwise very good!

Excellent Tire

These tires were installed on my 2007 Honda Ridgeline at 89,000 miles with current mileage today at 156,000. Total mileage on the tires to date are 67,000 miles and there is still 7/32" tread all the way around. These tires have performed well in all road conditions, rain, snow, gravel and in some cases mud and I have never had a problem. I give these tires a 5 star rating.
