I had gotten up that morning rushing and did not eat Breakfast I'm a diabetic and I should know better while sitting in a house I began to get weak She gave me a bottle of ensure. I Immediately began to feel Better, That 1 small bottle gave me enough energy to last me for about 4 hours. He often forgets to eat or doesn't want to eat and mealtimes had become a constant struggle that frustrated both him and me. However, he is always willing to drink an Ensure. I have also warmed it slightly and told him that it was "coffee" and he takes it with a smile. Lately he has had difficulty swallowing and aspirates when he does. The physician instructed us to thicken his drinks but he does not like the texture or taste of the thickener. Fortunately Ensure is that perfect thickness (just a bit more than water) that allows him to swallow safely.
