Extra Large Storage Box - Beware of Not Sealing

I purchased this deck storage box to put our outdoor furniture cushions in while not in use. The box assembled easily following the instructions. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the lid doesn’t seal down tight against the box. It leaves some space in the lid for bugs and crawly things to get into the box even with the lid completely closed. It will stay dry, but the chance of critters getting into the box is there. We live in an area with a lot of pesky paper wasps that are always looking for a place to build their next nest.

Great storage at a great price

The first question everyone asks is, how sturdy is it? If you want something that feels like it was built with 2x4s and 3/4 inch plywood, you will be disappointed. If what you want is something that has rigid sides and can be drug across the deck, I expect you will be satisfied for many years. I just assembled mine and could not be happier, especially for the price. The engineering is good, the instructions and labels are great, and the packing was secure. Mine will be on the deck, but I could see this box being used by the pool or even on a large pontoon boat. The only caution I would offer is to pick it up in the store rather than have it shipped. It is not heavy, but is large. Based upon the condition of some of the boxes in the store, I can see that this does not always ship well.

very disappointed

I've purchased this product twice. The first time, after bringing it home and opening it, I found that at least 3 parts were completely broken. I understand mistakes can be made, so I thought it was no big deal. I took it back to Sam's and they were wonderful in the return process. They gave me a credit as I just wanted the same deck box. The second time, after bringing it home and opening it again, I found that there were parts missing! I then had enough and called the company, who then told me that the parts would take between 8-12 weeks to come in. I definitely would not recommend this product to anyone.

Missing 2 Important Parts!

I just bought this deck box two days ago and during assembly I found out that it came with 2 missing crucial corner pieces called "LM" ( the box came with 4xLC and it was supposed to come with 2xLC and 2xLM). So I now have an unfinished and partially exposed deck box. Also, I want to mention that the deck box is not the best quality and has flimsy walls that don't fit together all that great, so I don't have the highest of hopes for this box actually protecting my patio furniture the way I'd hoped.

One Wind, Broke Off. Poor Design. Weak Joints. Customer Care said "Act of God" not covered under warranty. Do not buy this product. One wind, the closed lid opened itself and the lid's weak plastic screw hinge broke off and lid blew away and fell few feet away in the yard. Poor design. Now the broken lid, broken hinge, broken hinge screw hole. Total useless product.

Not a mouse stopper

Purchased this hoping to protect brand new outdoor furniture cushions from mice and other rodents. However, it apparently has enough gaps in the box at the bottom and it certainly has at the top under the lid for rodents to get in. Ruined brand new cushions. Not a box I would recommend.

Disappointing

We have two of previous model and needed more. Purchased two this year. The new ones are poorly designed and we are very disappointed with them. The lids curl up at the ends and do not close all the way. They are placed out of direct sunlight. Otherwise, we like the size and other features. We store our patio furniture cushions in them.

Arrived broken, Keter customer service is rude

I purchases the 230 gallon deck box from online Sam's Club and it arrived broken. My local Sam's Club won't accept it back for an exchange and instead directed me to call the Keter company for replacement parts. I purchases this on 5/11/19 and on 5/22/19 I called to request the 2 broken parts (part # CO). The Customer Service was horrible and the guy on the phone was extremely short and rude. He informed me to take pictures and send them to the company email, but never received a confirmation that new parts were sent out. I called back on 6/5/19 and they told me to wait for a phone call, it's 6/13 and haven't heard from anyone and haven't received the broken parts... Now its too late to return to the store and the parts that are broken make putting it together impossible.

lid cracks at hinged

Do not recommend because lid will crack at both hinges after using for one season. Had to duck tape lid and can not use hinges now which is not only ugly, it also defeats purpose of lid. Also I have to secure lid to keep rain getting in and to keep lid on. Ridiculous! We are two adults who live in a high priced development, so this looks bad. This is unacceptable for price of item. Rest of the container has been sturdy.
