I have another Keter Deck Box that is smaller, and the lid closes tightly. This 230 XXL Deck Box has a gap on the front and back under the lid. I am trying to figure out how to close these gaps because the field mice will set up house in the box immediately. I will not be able to store any items that are made of fabric, as the mice will chew them for nesting materials. I don't understand why Keter would sell a deck box with gaps. If we had a very strong rain and wind storm, it might be possible that water would get into this 230 230-gallon deck Box. I did not expect to have to jump through hoops to fix this box so I can use it.

I was surprised that surface capacity of the 230 gallon is ~100 pounds - for comparison, the 165 gallon spec is 600 pounds. Likely due to larger panels. Also, the mold pattern on the 230 is much plainer than the 165 which appears of higher quality- at least to my eyes. Also, white

Pros: product is huge, great value for the price! Not the sturdiest of materials, but not flimsy either, it will do for holding my cushions. Cons: missing pieces upon delivery. The only reason I didn’t give it a lower number of stars is that the missing piece was an end cap, I will use strong adhesive to try to close it up so that moisture doesn’t get inside.

Received this today, and half the parts are missing. No sides and no bottom. No instructions. Whomever packed this order knew very well that it was incomplete too as it was obvious as soon as I picked up the WAY too light and clearly half full box. Pathetic. We have initiated a return, but now WE have to repack everything into this damaged box we received and haul it up to the Fedex place. Ridiculous.

Sturdy, easy assembly.

This has plenty of room for my cushions and some of the other items that I keep on my patio, possibly even my umbrella. It was easy to put together. I put it together by myself up to the point of attaching the lid. I had my daughter hold to to line the hinge up I would have given it 5 stars, but there were a few pieces of plastic that broke off during transport. It wasn't in a place that hurt the integrity, so I was able to put it together and it is structurally sound.

Worst experience ever!

Arrived with 2 panels cracked, Although Keter wants you to contact them before returning, they claim they have no replacement parts. so I have to return to Sams. That's why I wanted it to be shipped to me in the first place. So I wouldn't have to borrow a pickup and use a significant amount of gasoline to pick it up. Also, Keter is NOT easy to reach. The address they ask you to contact elicits "this mailbox is not monitored". The address they eventually give you is for a form that requires picture, order number, dates, copy of receipt and other information before you can even send them an email so they can tell you to return it anyway because they have NO PARTS, (Consider what will happen if you need a part in the future).

I bought the first box and all was well. A few months later I bought a 2nd box and a part was missing and NO INSTRUCTIONS were included. It was a major hassle trying to fit all those pieces back in the box to return. Sam's club replaced the item and guess what? NO INSTRUCTIONS again, and one small broken plastic part. I've read other reviews and Keter response was "go to our website for instructions". This XXL 230 gallon box IS NOT on their website. There is one that looks similar but I have no way of knowing if assembly instructions are identical. As another reviewer said DO NOT THROW AWAY box until you get the thing assembled and figure out if parts are missing (kind of hard to tell without an instruction diagram). Nice box but not worth buying it with the hassle if instructions aren't included, parts missing, broken etc.
