I had been eating the J D regular sausage for several years. It wasn't until recently twice, I have found long (6-8 ins) human hairs in my pattys. Also I noticed short, perhaps pork hairs. The sausage is absolutely delicious but this was hard to accept.

The best brand for both regular and dieting family members, especially for those who are on a low carb diet. It is the brand of choice for taste, richness and flavor. We can eat less for those dieting, without compromising flavor. Also great alone, for those wanting high protein.

This is a really tasty breakfast sausage. I like that it’s so versatile. You can form it into patties or break it apart and cook it and it can be used in many different ways. It’s seasoned really well, I love a very sage-y breakfast sausage. I like to put this into breakfast bakes and even in savory dishes like chili. Definitely give it a try if you’re into breakfast sausage and haven’t had this brand before!

As an avid cook, I take my sausage very seriously and only Jimmy Dean is trusted to be consistent and flavorful enough to be used in my holiday dishes. From weekday breakfasts to Thanksgiving and Christmas cherished recipes, this is the only brand for me.

I get about 12 patties around 4" in diameter when flattened out on a griddle. I coat a cutting board with a sprinkle of flour to keep the meat from sticking to the metal spatula when flattening the meat. I pair mine with thin smash burgers made from Sam's chuck log rolls to make my teriyaki burger. I melt a thin piece of cheddar on the sausage patty and one thin piece of cheese on the thin burger patty. I Lightly coat the top/bottom of bun with mayo and add a drizzle of thick low sodium teriyaki sauce. You can add shredded lettuce to the bun bottom and thinly cut onion slices to top of the meats for a greater taste. For more meat heat up a few pieces of thin lunchmeat ham as a topper to the sausage and beef patty and top that off with a 3rd piece of thin cheese. You can buy Red Robin seasoning to season the beef patties for more flavor. The sausage patty needs no seasoning.

Very versatile sausage you can do so much with it from making patties to putting in recipes it is a very good product you can add as little or as much as you want I can get a little bit messy but it is worth it when you are using a specific recipe and you want to use a product like this great flavor good quality pork sausage good price

Growing up we were served JD sausage on a regular schedule. I would of had it every day if we could of afforded it. Not that it was high priced, we were poor. It was a treat so I remember the flavor and quality well. But I am sorry to say I will no longer be purchasing your product. The flavor and texture has dramatically changed. I'm sure you felt you needed to reduce costs but at what price? Once you return to the original let me know.

This is a decent brand for breakfast sausage. I get the maple flavor to add to stuffing for holiday meals & everyone seems to love it. But I grabbed this one today. We have decided to make breakfast for dinner. I confess I’m not a huge sausage fan, but I imagine my eaters will be happy, :) Jimmy Dean Premium Pork Regular Sausage

I am not sure what has happened at the processing plant these past few months, but whatever changes you made either to the quality of the product or recipe is not an improvement. The product is has too much water with a very strange looking and smelling grease(regular version normally has a clear to yellow grease and the hot version has a slight orange hue, no matter which product I use the grease is a dark mustard color with a hint of orange, and very greasy), the taste is not good in the least. This is not isolated to just one store. Overall sad, just sad.

They replaced the fat with water and sugar. Sugar and corn syrup should never be used as fillers. unfortunately its in all our food products now. so I guess the only way to revers this is to stop buying those food products using these as fillers. It tastes great, but so does candy and other high processed foods. Lets get back to the good stuff.
