Jimmy Dean sausage has been a staple in my family for 3 generations. I like the regular premium pork sausage, it is a great ingredient in many dishes I like to make. There is no other sausage to use but Jimmy Dean! Both the hot and regular are staples in our home. You can make a quick breakfast meal like breakfast burritos or biscuits and gravy, or you can make delicious snacks like cheddar cheese sausage balls. The south loves their Jimmy Dean sausage!

I can’t say enough how much I love and use Jimmy Dean sausage ,it’s the only one with a high quality flavor and doesn’t taste full of fillers . I always add Jimmy Dean to my meatballs and lasagna for a flavor that pops! I will never use any substitute

Something is noticeably different as of this year with the regular style Jimmy dean roll of sausage. When cooking on medium low heat it will burn a layer of black char on a non stick pan prompting me to buy a new non stick skillet with the very same results. I've always eaten this product and have always cooked it the same way. I know covid 19 has hurt so many companies and makes me wonder if something has changed via quality and consistency of the recipe within the this new year of 2022. Hope the needed corrections are made to once again enjoy a pleasant home cooked breakfast!

We've only had it as a breakfast add on and let me tell you this is the best kind of sausages we have ever tried. It can be anything you want because the tube showed in the picture is just the suggestion. In reality it's a ground meat formed in a shape of a tube. JD has the line of precooked patties and they are not even close to the ones i get out of this tube.

Jimmy Dean Sausage is the best breakfast sausage. The taste is so delicious and savory.  We make patties out of them and we also sprinkle them in our scrambled eggs like a omelet. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  Cook it with your family. 

When I have my days off and the weekends my mom sometimes wakes up in the morning cook some eggs and bacon and sausage and when I smell a Jimmy Dean I go who are normal and making sauces I’ll go running downstairs I’ll be the first one with a plate I highly recommend this product to anybody who likes sausage

My family has always loved the sausage in the roll. In last year or so every time we cook it in a non stick pan on medium heat it burns with a black char on it . I bet Mr. Jimmy Dean would be disappointed in quality of his sausage now. Please bring back the sausage that cooks evenly.. Thank you ..

I agree with another reviewer. This past year i’ve bought several rolls of sausage and its tough. I’ve been eating this sausage since i was a kid and only buy another brand if its not available for significant lengths of time. I literally will pass on buying sausage for a while before i but an alternate brand. I have a pound tight now that seems to be the first out of this years purchases that are back to original quality. So glad and hope its stays. It needs to maintain this quality to be worth the price. As Jimmy himself used to say, he’d rather explain the price than apologize for the quality!

I normally buy Neese's sausage- a local brand. This time I went shopping late in the weekend and they were sold out. I remembered hearing all the Jimmie Dean sausage commercials years ago, so I grabbed a tube and gave it a go. So I got home and the next morning I cut my usual "slab" and tossed it in the pan as always, on medium, and went about prepping my muffin and coffee. A scorched smell hit me, so curious to see what was going on, I pulled the lid off my sausage and flipped it over. It was burnt looking! I was baffled.. I grabbed the tube and looked at the ingredients, and there was my answer.. corn syrup and sugar! What? Why was this in my sausage? I read further.. and I saw there is also flour in it! What? Like a ready made pancake? A sausage pancake with syrup all ready added? I don't know what the intent is, but it was very disappointing... and back when sausage was sausage..
