The only downfall is the block seems like it's split, but that's how it was made, which is why I can't give this a 5 star rating.

Apparently I don't know how to use a measuring tape because the space that I thought this commands is much more than I imagined. If you are short on space, perhaps look for another product! It's a beauty, just BIG! The knives are top notch. I haven't used them all yet, but what I have used is excellent! I've been wanting some Henckles for a while, so glad I was able to procure them at a BIG Box store.

If there is a complaint, this knife block is huge but the selection of knives is wonderful! I happily will give up counter space for these knives.

The self-sharpening feature makes it very easy to just slide the knives in when putting them away, and it quickly sharpens them. This keep them ready to be used & they don’t go dull.

The huge difference for me is the built in sharpeners that will keep the knives like new all the time. I was a bit surprised to see how huge the block is but I will make it work.

We have purchased Farberware knife sets in the past and these new Henckels knives are far better quality. The block that comes with the knives is also a very nice wooden color, which makes it look fancy in iur kitchen.
