[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this Shark air purifier! It's really futuristic looking, and does an amazing job of cleaning the air. It has a cool touchscreen to select from 4 different fan speed levels to clean. You can check how clean the filter is, adjust the brightness all from the touchscreen! The best part is the scent filter. Makes my house smell so clean and fresh. I love this!

Unless you have spare money around you would like to get rid of skip this product. Always going to 0 percent and getting the red circle. Places do not seem to care about quality anymore. First and last Shark product I will ever buy. The filter would last longer than the machine will.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shark NeverChange™ Air Purifier MAX covers around 1400 square feet that provides multi-room air purification. I currently have it up in the balcony area at the top of my stairs and it is taking care of the 3 bedrooms upstairs as well as the hallway and probably part of downstairs. There are several features I like about this air purifier. It has a “Neverchange” HEPA filtration that won't need replacing for up to 5 years. So, while it may not last a full 5 years that is an advancement over systems that have filter replacements needed annually. The 4-layer filter system captures 99.98% of allergens and irritants, dust, hair, lint and especially helpful with pets and when it's seasonal allergy season. It has this nifty little Odor Neutralizer Odor Cartridge Assembly that pops into a designated slot on the top of the machine that you can select how strong you would like the scent or you can turn off the cartridge if you do not want any scent. It has these “Debris Defense” screens on either side of the filter system that just pull out like the lint screen in your dryer, and you just give it a quick clean and slide them back in. They're like an additional assistant to the filter system. They it has Clean Sense IQ which is the control system/display and this tells you what the current air quality and particulates and odor levels are. It actually senses the quality of the air and “cleans” the air. Say you are cooking onions, the system will recognize the smell, the display will change colors and the system will go into basically air cleaning mode to get the air quality back to 100%. Sometimes it's fun to watch the color change. This system has been great and has been doing what it supposed to do.

With this being my first air purifier, I was skeptical of what one could do. I work from home, so since I'm in my house the majority of the week, I was hoping to ensure I have good air quality indoors. During the first hour or so of plugging it in it was saying my air quality was in the high 90s, and reached 100 pretty quick. Seeing this, I wasn't sure if it was really necessary if my air quality wasn't bad and had considered returning it. I tested it initially by blowing out a candle, and the air quality went down to the 60s when there was smoke in the air, so things seemed promising. The real value showed once I started cooking. I was pan frying chicken which was putting smoke in the air and making the house smell. During this time, the shark was showing lower air quality, and even at one point went down to 0%. It took about an hour or so in my 1100 sqft house to get back to the 90s, however I could notice the difference before and after, and could tell the smell was almost completely removed from all rooms of the house. So far I'm sold on this unit with helping to keep the air cleaner. I just keep it on auto all the time and the unit is very quiet. This unit also includes a couple deodorizer modules. The smell is okay to me, but I think once the first one runs out I'll try running the unit without it to see if I'm okay with the difference. There is also a remote that comes with this unit, but I really don't see the use of it so it just sits in a drawer.

We are experiencing the California Wildfires and I purchased this model to purify the air. The selling points being the purpose of the device, the 1450 sq ft range of coverage and the neverchange feature. I did not plan on my home being filled with fragrance. We are a family with allergies and migraine sufferers.
