I think this was a good compromise for peace of mind. Shark is a well-known brand for quality products. I accidentally burned some air fryer paper in the kitchen, and the Shark located in my living room kicked in about 3 minutes later—the display dropped down to 50% red and it went to work. It was back at 100% within 15 minutes. I like this unit so much that I bought the 250 sq ft units for my kids' room and the 650 sq ft unit for our master bedroom. I definitely would recommend!

Absolutely loving my Shark never change

In a world of so many air purifier choices we simply need something that works. We trust the Shark Ninja name and Sam's for quality. We can tell the positive difference this air purifier is making in our home that we share with cats.

When I first set this unit up, I expected it would turn on showing poor air quality because I have two dogs in my house but it started at 100% air quality. I thought I got a defective unit but a couple days later I was frying some fish and the sensor turned red and automatically increased the fan to filter more air. A few hours later the dial was lit blue again and showing 100% fit air quality and the fan automatically went back down to its silent operation. The only time I hear this running is when it increasing the fan to filter more air but even then it’s softer than most fans. Since the filter shows 100%, except if I cook something with a bit of oil in the pan or use my air fryer, I turn it off in my livingroom at night to save energy then turn it back on when I get up in the morning. I’m pleased with how quiet it is and that my air quality with two indoor dogs is very good. I expected it to show lower quality until it had been working for a few hours. The one thing I did notice is that the scent pods that came with it didn’t really add a scent to the room so k don’t know if these were more of a scent neutralizer or if they were intended to add a fresh scent to the room. I just don’t notice any difference so I may try the lavender or maybe eucalyptus next time to see if I get a scent. All in all; the product is working well and I like that there are screens that are washable and keep some of the dust out of the Hepa filter so it shouldn’t need to be replaced as frequently as other filtration systems.

The machine works fine, it’s the added air freshener that I despise since it was encouraging allergy reactions despite my first turning it down and then completely off. Finally I just threw the dang thing away. It doesn’t smell like an ocean breeze in any sense of the word and I’ve been to both oceans and the Gulf. It smells like cheap perfume which I’m also allergic to. Had to call customer support the first day to figure out the dang air freshener is in the sealed pack and the entire thing pops in the top. The machine did quite working on the third day. We run it 24/7 and one morning woke up and it had stopped. Called customer support who are great by the way thus the 4 stars and discovered one of the sides had popped out, easy fix and it has had no other issues.
