Customer reviews for LG 26 cu. ft. Counter Depth Refrigerator w/ Four Types of Ice forThe best refrigerator ever!
I love my new LG French Door Refrigerator more than I ever thought I’d love an appliance. It is so user friendly, easy to clean (most are not). It has a wonderful layout and the 4 kinds of ice, including large ice balls, are the best. It holds way more than more previous one.
Excellent refrigerator
Bought this refrigerator a week ago, I am very pleased with this refrigerator. The counter depth is great, there is so much room inside. The freezer has a huge amount of storage, with two sliding shelves plus the main freezer compartment. I went from a 22 cu. ft. top freezer to this 25.5 cu. ft. bottom drawer freezer and what a difference. I no longer have to stack things on top of each and move things around to get what I want. The three different ice makers is a huge plus. I first thought why would anyone need three ice makers but now that I have them, it's a big plus. This refrigerator is so quiet you don't even know it's running. The LED lighting inside is great. The sleek flat front with no handles gives the unit a nice appearance. I was not in the market for all the bells and whistles, I had to purchase what would fit through my door opening. I am so happy I got this refrigerator, I am highly pleased with this purchase.
Lovely looking and roomy, but critically flawed.
Lovely looking and roomy, but critically flawed. Without a doubt, there is really nothing in this class that can compete as far as storage volume; however, it is not a safe refrigerator. This is now the second unit. The first unit could not cool below 42F in the upper compartment and 8F in the lower compartment and was replaced after 1 month. The replacement is only marginally better, 40F up, 0F down. What this means is that any time the door is open, the temps go well into the unsafe temps and remain that way for hours. Now after a month this new unit cannot get below 42F. The ice unit cannot maintain adequate temperatures and the ice begins to melt and leaks. I don't know if this is a design issue, or a manufacturing issue, but the problems are sufficiently bad that this second unit needs to be returned.

Good Refrigerator
The layout of our kitchen makes the counter depth refrigerator the best option. This does reduce the amount of space available, especially in the refrigerator. Space for taller items is somewhat limited. However, for me and my wife this is really a minor inconvenience. The biggest complaint we have is with the bottom drawer of the refrigerator. To pull open the drawer you have to open both refrigerator doors. It would have been good if the bottom drawer was split into two drawers. Aside from that, the motor is very quiet, the temperature is consistently maintained and we are happy with our fridge. We did need to replace the craft ice maker. Fortunately this happened while the warranty was still in effect. The repairman said this is a very common problem with LG. He also asked if we replaced the compressor. We haven't but there was an implied warning in his question.
Great lighted refrigerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had our counter depth LG refrigerator a little over a month. It's very sleek looking as it doesn't have handles so that took some getting used to. The craft ice cubes are a novelty but not really necessary and if I didn't have a separate freezer, it would be shut off to have more room for frozen food. The shelves had to be re-arranged as storing tall bottles can be problematic. Wish there was a butter shelf.
We're glad to read that you're enjoying the sleek, handle-free design of your refrigerator, and we appreciate your feedback on storage customization, it’s great that the adjustable shelves allow you to make it work for your needs! Love the ice and the storage room!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased our new refrigerator about 4 weeks ago and absolutely love it! So much room and love the clear shelves and drawers which allows you to see stuff in the back. Best feature is the ice! We were always running out of ice with our old refrigerator. This fridge has 3 ice makers and we always have plenty even when we have company. And I absolutely love the mini ice cubes. They are my favorite. Would definitely recommend this refrigerator to anyone that is looking. We have purchase several LG appliances and have never had any problems with them

Great fridge! Very happy with purchase.
We love the fridge there’s no doubt about that. It’s got a ton of space in both the refrigerator and freezer and the fact that it gives you three different types of ice is a real bonus. We did have the fan go out after only 6 Months, but they got someone out to fix it right away since it was still under warranty. The motion light on the freezer took a little getting used to if you’re not used to having your Refrigerator light up every time you walk by. Otherwise, it does the job it needs to! And it looks great too!
Lovely, but seriously flawed.
It really is a nice looking refrigerator. For the money, on paper it looks like it's hard to beat. Here's the problem: I've now had two units inside a month and neither unit appears to be able to get much below 42F in the fridge compartment and 8F in the Freezer compartment. This is with the settings set at anything between 33-41F top, and 0 or -1 below. The only thing that changes the internal temp (other than opening the door) is to set the thermostat at 42F...at that point the fridge goes to 48/50F internal temperature. I've tried everything, including running it for whole days out of the surround in the middle of the kitchen. No impact on the internal operating temperature.

Spacious, well organized
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago. I love the amount of space it provides, and the option to flip up one side for taller items. The only thing I didn't like was the way the ice comes out in the front. Some goes to the floor.
Hi, Nancy. Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad to hear you're enjoying the spacious design and flexible storage options. Buyer Beware! Frozen drinks day 3!
The top shelf cannot be used for drinks, nor can you store more than a few items, because of the design of the vent. Website says equal temp shelves, but found water and soda frozen! There’s a secret manual only available online that says you can’t store high humidity items on top shelf! Csr service says you have to store drinks on door. Really? The consumer cant place items where they want in their own fridge? This wasn’t free, or cheap! The capacity is less than stated, because of the unusable space. Going back! I loved it until the restrictions made it suck!
Hi Denise. We realize your experience falls short of your expectations and would like to take this opportunity to address the issues you're having. Please note that the crisper drawers in the fridge are designed to provide a high-humidity environment that's best suited for storing vegetables. Moreover, the Glide'N'Serve drawer shouldn't be used to store vegetables that require high humidity. Please contact us on social media at @LGUSSupport to discuss your refrigerator's storage in more detail. Be sure to include your phone number and refrigerator information (model and serial numbers) in your private message to us. We'd be happy to clear things up! ^Chris
