This vacuum sealer is junk. It struggles to turn on. When it does turn on it doesn’t vacuum all the air out. Then seals the bag with lots of air inside. I then have to wait 10-15 minutes for it to vacuum again. This is only my second time using now it’s headed for the trash.

Not verypowerful. Had the larger one and think it was a better unit. Like that it fits in smaller space but not if it doesn’t work well

Best investment when it comes to food. No more freezer burnt food and the freshness lasts so much longer.

Small and powerful this has been amazing for this bachelor. My daughter said I would love this and she wasn’t wrong.

This model was much easier to use then the previous one I had. The system vacuumed the bag to skin tight on the product I was sealing.

got this thing not too long ago I used it make a few dozen times had it less than 6 months now the vacume wont stop sucking when it removes the air and wont auto seal. I changed gaskets still not working properly. do not recomend

To fix sealers with a sponge gasket that dry out in time take a damp cloth or sponge and run it over sponge to expand it.... sponge shrinks in time. have used mine for over 10 yrs. with the same sponge

I have a VS1230 model, about a year and a half old. The suction has completely stopped working and when I try to put my warranty claim in after going through their list of trouble shooting methods, they tell me the date code is invalid, even though it is on both the original box and the prong of the outlet plug. Clearly getting themselves out of honoring their warranty! Will not do business with FoodSaver again!

This FoodSaver is much better than our 5nyear old one. The only thing i miss is chord storage.

Just what I was looking for. My old one died. This one is smaller and stores away nicely.
